Based on the physical chemistry of polymers, molecular design and chemical derivation of the derivatives of renewable resources, especially natural cellulose, are carried out to explore new functional materials in the fields of medicine, aerospace, conventional weapons, chemical industry, etc., including slow release, controlled release, energetic toughening and thickening, anti-counterfeiting, liquid crystal materials, etc.
3. With the functionalization of natural polymers as the main body, the dynamic effects of aggregation structure and molecular structure changes on its solubility, mechanical properties, rheological properties, energy properties and processability during functionalization were characterized and studied by modern analytical methods.
4. Molecular design, synthesis, manufacture and application of a new generation of high-performance adhesives for aerospace and weapon propulsion and launch, and manufacturing and processing technology of high-performance (high energy, low characteristic signal, insensitive and excellent mechanical properties) propellants based on the new adhesives;
5. Synthesis of new polymer materials and their application in composite materials.

Oilfield performance is better than CMC.
6. Pharmaceutical excipients: HPMCP products, which are further processed by HPMC to increase the added value of production. At present, the market price is 180 yuan/kg, which is the best enteric-coated material in China.
