It is a famous bird-watching resort and is known as the "bird-watching holy land". Beidaihe is a mudflat, lagoon and stagnant water formed by the estuary of Daihe River and Ganges River. It was named "Beidaihe Wetland" by the International Convention on Wetland Protection. In spring and autumn, migratory birds migrate, and red-crowned cranes and storks fly through the air in droves. They fly and sing, which has become a great spectacle of Beidaihe.
