World Chefs' Day (October ?20).

Chef's Day was proposed by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) at the 31st WACS Congress held in Dublin, Ireland, in March 2004, and October 20 is designated as World Chef's Day every year. During the Chef's Day, the "Famous Points", "Famous Dishes" and "Famous Banquets" of each country will be evaluated and the highest award in the chef's industry will be granted: the Golden Tripod Award.

"Chef's Day" began in 1990, initially by the Jinan, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Hefei, Changsha, Changsha, Chengdu, Xi'an and other twelve cities in the country of civil society organizations organized on their own initiative. The purpose is to further promote Chinese food culture through the Chef's Festival, strengthen technical exchanges in the catering industry across the country, create a good atmosphere of respect for chefs and innovation, and encourage chefs to work hard for the development of China's catering industry.

Establishment of the purpose

In 2004, the four-day 14th China Chef's Festival and China Cross-Strait Cuisine Festival was held on October 20 in Fuzhou. The main purpose of World Chef Day is to raise public awareness of the chef profession worldwide.
