? Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, has beautiful scenery. Go from the city center to the northwest for dozens of miles, come to Longjing Town, Qingxin District (formerly Qingxin County), and then turn south to Fenglang Village, one of the best existing ancient villages in Qing Dynasty in Guangdong.
? In the first year of Qin Long in the Ming Dynasty (1567), the Huang family moved from Langxi Village in peace county, Guangdong Province to Qingyuan to build a house and build a village. It has been more than 451 years since then and has flourished for 18 generations. This village is Fenglang Village, also known as Huangjia Courtyard. It is said that the Huang clan here is the lineage of Huang Tingjian in the Northern Song Dynasty. At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, Yuan soldiers went south, and several Huang clans were forced to move to Fujian and Guangdong.
? Fenglang Village is different from the villages in the Central Plains, and it is also different from the villages in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui. The big houses are more like fortresses, which is a typical form of clan enclosure.
? There are 113 ancient houses in the village, which were built during the reign of Qing Qianlong. These old houses constitute the pattern of ancient villages: nine lanes and eighteen entrances. Houses are all facing north, and the orientation, width, door positioning, lane spacing, depth and height in the same horizontal direction are all planned in a unified way and arranged in an orderly manner.
? The old houses in Fenglang Village have two floors, and the structure is "three rooms, two corridors and one patio". The so-called three rooms, that is, a row of three houses hanging from the top of the mountain, the bright room is the hall, and the second room on both sides is the living room. The patio in front of the house is surrounded by corridors (that is, kitchens), which are called two corridors.
? During the Qianlong period, there were frequent bandits in Qingyuan area, so when building a house, I was very concerned about the defense function. The ancient buildings in Fenglang Village are mostly mixed with stones, river sand and lime, which are extremely strong. All buildings are low at the front and high at the back, which is beneficial to defense. There is also a tall turret on the east and west sides of the village, and the placement of shooting holes is also quite ingenious.
? Fengyang Village is small, with only 88 villagers and a permanent population of more than 311. Nowadays, some residents move into newly built houses, and the old houses are basically abandoned. Some households, the owner's family are far away, and the door of the old house is locked.
? It is said that you have to charge 11 yuan for admission to the village, and there is a small house at the entrance of the village that seems to sell tickets. It was noon when I went, and it is estimated that the fellow villagers who sold tickets went home for dinner. In fact, there is no need to collect tickets here. I'm afraid I can collect 21 or 31 yuan if I wait for a day. I might as well do something else if I have this time.
? At noon, the villagers were all having lunch. I wandered around the village for a long time, only seeing two or three people, not to mention the format of "old street" and "old brand". I couldn't find a seller to buy a bottle of water. There must be a small shop in the village, but I haven't met it.
? There are more or less shops and restaurants in the ancient village, selling local specialties or tourist goods. I don't see many such pure original ecological ancient villages as Fenglang Village.
? Fenglang Village is an isolated scene, surrounded by lush bamboo forests. The old houses in the village are rarely inhabited, and no one develops tourism. Of course, there are no tourists. When those scenic spots are crowded with people, people who don't like to join in the fun, such as me, are more suitable for relaxing in this rustic place. If you are interested in ancient dwellings, it is even more worth seeing here.
? Looking it up in the dictionary, "Lang" is the same as "?" Pronunciation is "Lang", which means low-lying land by the river and lake.
