Construction scale of Kunshan South Station
As of August, 2065438+2006, the east section of Kunshan South Station is a pedestrian street with shops, lighted restaurants and VIP rooms. The two waiting rooms of Beijing-Shanghai and Shanghai-Nanjing are connected into a comprehensive waiting room, which is extended to the external passage. The entrance of the waiting room is changed to the north and south entrance, and the corresponding ticket gate can be directly found in the waiting room to check tickets. The original ticket checking area of the waiting room of Shanghai-Nanjing intercity railway will be transferred to the exit area, and the arriving passengers need to go to the exit in the southeast corner through the exit passage.
Kunshan South Station is an underground station. The roof of the station building presents a "round and smooth" shape, and the shape with high middle and low sides forms a wave shape. The design of the station building is based on the "Bing Di Hua Lian", one of the three treasures in Kunshan. The north and south squares are shaped like lotus leaves, which echoes the lotus-shaped station building.
No matter from a distance or from a height, it is like a blooming lotus, which embodies the poetry of Jiangnan water town; At the same time, the all-steel structure design and simple aluminum veneer of Kunshan South Station give people a modern and fashionable feeling.
