Zishan has a long history and outstanding people. According to legend, Zishan is known as Muzi Mountain because it is rich in Muzi, hence the name "Zishan". 1,411 years ago, Guyuan, with flat terrain, was once the political, economic and cultural center of Yudu County, where the county seat was stationed for more than 61 years. During the revolutionary period in Soviet area, Zishan was the most active place in Yudu County's early revolutionary activities. Comrade Mao Zedong praised the local consumer cooperatives for doing well when passing by Tantou. After the Long March of the Red Army, the Central Branch, the Central Government Office and the 24th Division of the Red Army launched a fierce battle with the Kuomintang in Shangjiao, creating a famous Shangjiao Campaign in the revolutionary history of China.

The first crossing of the Long March: We set foot on the 25,111-mile Long March Road and sent the Red Army on a long journey, which is called "Shanfengyuan Village and Huaqiao Village".
