Not really a low-cost airline.
Recently, the Tips issued by Tianjin Airlines show that Tianjin Airlines will comprehensively launch differentiated services for domestic flights: starting from the date of the flight, October 28, 2018 (inclusive), it will provide free checked baggage services with different amounts for passengers who buy different types of tickets.
Passengers can purchase overweight baggage allowance on demand through the official website of Tianjin Airlines and check-in counters according to their own needs; at the same time, except for the Premium Economy Class, other economy class passengers will no longer enjoy free meals.
In fact, Tianjin Airlines is not the first airline to cancel the free meals on the plane, Xiangpeng Airlines, Spring Airlines, Western Airlines, China United Airlines and many other airlines have long canceled the free meals and beverages on ordinary tickets.
The so-called "low-cost airline", as I understand it, means that the airline is only responsible for delivering you and your luggage safely to your destination, and the tickets are cheap, so don't count on the service.
To put it bluntly, it's about getting air travel back to what it is: a mode of transportation.
This is actually a big trend in the aviation industry: the needs of the masses are met by "low-cost airlines", and the needs of the rich are solved by "traditional airlines", which is a niche target market!
