Taiwan Province Province Minimum Wage Standard 2023
The minimum wage in Taiwan Province Province is 1.300 yuan, which is in the middle reaches of the country.

The minimum wage refers to the minimum amount of labor remuneration paid by the employer (or employer) on the premise that the laborer provides normal labor within the legal working hours. The minimum wage does not include overtime pay, special working conditions and allowances under special conditions, nor does it include insurance, welfare benefits and various non-monetary incomes of workers. The minimum wage shall be paid in legal tender on time.

When determining the minimum wage standard, the living expenses of urban residents, social insurance premiums paid by employees, housing accumulation fund, average wages of employees, unemployment rate, economic development level and other factors are generally considered. According to China's Minimum Wage Regulations, the minimum wage standard generally takes two forms: the monthly minimum wage standard and the hourly minimum wage standard. The monthly minimum wage applies to full-time employees and the hourly minimum wage applies to part-time employees. The minimum wage in each region is adjusted at least once every two years.

In order to safeguard the rights and interests of workers' labor remuneration and ensure the basic livelihood of workers and their family members, according to the Labor Law, the Minimum Wage Regulations and other relevant provisions, recently, our city adjusted the minimum wage standard in combination with the city's economic development and the main factors referred to when adjusting the minimum wage standard, which was examined and approved by the municipal government executive meeting and reported to Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security for approval. After adjustment, the minimum wage in our city is implemented in two grades, and the two grades are respectively higher than the original standards 1.800 yuan/month and 1.700 yuan/month by 300 yuan. The new standard will be implemented on April 1 day, 2022.

The minimum wage standard is an important means for the government to protect the rights and interests of workers, especially low-income workers, under the condition of market economy, and it is the minimum labor remuneration paid by the employer on the premise that workers provide normal labor within the statutory working hours or the working hours agreed in the labor contract signed according to law. The adjustment of the minimum wage standard will play a positive role in improving the income level of low-income groups, further narrowing the income gap and reducing the contradiction of income distribution.
