The four majors of electronic science and technology, water conservancy and hydropower engineering, energy and power engineering and chemical engineering and technology have all been rated as national first-class undergraduate majors by the Ministry of Education, and they are strong in all aspects except employment, which can be directly excluded from the weak major selection of Tianjin University.

The remaining two majors, communication engineering, photoelectric information science and engineering, are neither national first-class undergraduate majors, and the employment rate is relatively low, which can be called the relatively unpopular majors of Tianjin University.
