Domestic Ski Resorts
Skiing (playing) in the country is a must, except for indoor snow resorts such as Rongchuang and Qiaobo, which are found all over the country.
Basically, it is around Changbai Mountain (Wanda, Luneng), Chongli, Zhangjiakou (Miyuan Yunding, Wutai Town, Wanlong, Longfu, Cuiyun Mountain, Dulimei), Xinjiang (General Mountain, Altay, Silk Road, Tianshan Tianchi), Chengdu nearby (JiuDing Mountain, Xiling XueShan), and Yabuli and Songhua Lake in the northeast.
Specific distribution
The few snow parks in Xinjiang are not introduced for the time being, mostly wild slides. Not many people go there at the moment, and there are some problems with transportation and support. Cocoa is over there. Let's not talk about the two snow parks by Chengdu. These two snow parks are mainly to meet the demand of Chengdu and the surrounding tour, except for Sichuan people rarely go.
Today's focus is on Chongli near Beijing, and Changbaishan, Yabuli and Beidahu in the northeast.
Round Changbai Mountain area
There are two main snow fields (resorts) around Changbai Mountain, Wanda and Luneng. Plus Changbaishan Town (Songjianghe Town), Erdao Baihe Town (near the North Slope Scenic Area), and the airport (near the West Slope Scenic Area).
Put a map, you may know more.
With a table, it is the arrangement of hotels, resorts and surrounding facilities in these areas.
Transportation
By plane:
Changbaishan Airport is China's first forest tourism airport. There are direct flights from many cities, such as Harbin, Changchun, Yanji, Tianjin, Dalian and Shanghai. Other cities can transfer planes or take high speed trains to Changchun before flying to Changbaishan Airport.
After you get off the plane, there will be a free Changbaishan International Resort airport bus in the airport parking lot to send you directly to the door of the hotel, the ride takes about 20 minutes. The bus also has a narrator to introduce the scenic area overview and will patiently answer your questions.
Train:
There is no high speed train in Changbaishan, the train station near Wanda Changbaishan International Resort is Songjianghe Train Station. Trains arrive at Songjianghe Station from Shenyang, Dalian and Jilin. It is recommended to choose the K7511 train that arrives at night from Dalian or Shenyang. It leaves Dalian at 14:05pm, passes through Shenyang at 19:29pm and arrives at Songjianghe Station at 6:25am the next morning. A taxi from Songjianghe Railway Station to Changbaishan Ski Resort costs about 40 yuan.
High-speed trains:
There are three train stations closest to Changbaishan: Baihe Station, Songjianghe Station and Antu Station. The first two stations are located in small towns below Changbaishan, and Antu station is 160km away from Changbaishan. fortunately, the train station has direct buses to Changbaishan.
However, it takes time.
The snow season in Changbaishan is quite long. If you go in November, December or March, it will be more cost effective.
Also Changbaishan is not just about skiing.
There is the Jinjiang hut village, which has a northeastern flavor.
You can also go to Tianchi. If you want to climb, take the west slope. If you're lazy, drive up the north slope.
So Changbaishan is a long-distance destination for 3-5 days. Not only can you ski in Changbaishan, but you can also travel around.
1. Changbaishan Wanda Resort Hotel
Wanda is undoubtedly the most established and largest resort in Changbaishan. Its 10 hotels are literally the giants of Changbaishan. Hyatt, Marriott, Accor, Intercontinental are all there. The same goes for snow, middle school and high school.
Wanda Resort's trails are arguably suitable for almost everyone!
Beginners are concentrated at the base of the mountain, and intermediate and advanced students take the gondola up the mountain. We don't bother each other, so we don't have to worry about disturbing anyone at all. It actually improves safety from the side. People of the same level can come together to learn from each other. There are staff standing at regular intervals on several trails to take care of everyone's safety at all times.
Whether you are a beginner or a skier; whether you want a relaxing vacation or a cost-effective skiing, Wanda Resort is also good for you.
And! There's an indoor water park, too
First class: the Park Hyatt and Hyatt Regency, which are more luxurious. And these are the only two hotels in the Wanda Resort that are ski-in/ski-out.
*Ski in and out: the hotel is a snow park, you can ski directly. This is very important. You can always go back for a bite to eat and a nap when you're tired. Good for little kids and some lazy people like me.
There are also open-air hot spring pools outside of Park Yue. It's great to soak in the hot springs on a freezing day.
These two hotels have three Alaskan swans that are the babies of the hotel. There are real guests who come to stay at the Hyatt Park Hyatt not to ski, but to visit them.
Second tier: Westin, Sheraton
Third tier: Vacations and Suites.
Fourth gear: choose your vacation wisely, Ibis.
And then there are those outside the stalls: Hanasan Spa Resort and Spa, Hundred Flowers Wild Luxury Tented Camp.
Does it include a snow pass?
Generally, hotels under Changbaishan Wanda give away snow tickets. But there is a possibility that some channels sell your room without the snow ticket to save cost, and that's a pitfall.
(Snow tickets are not cheap. All-day snow tickets are 650 on weekdays and 790 on weekends, or the price for one person. It may seem like the hotels are cheaper, but the price of the snow pass may actually far exceed the cost of the room. So when you buy a hotel under the Wanda Resorts umbrella, be sure to check to see if the snow pass is included.
Does this package include equipment rental?
Snow equipment generally includes skis, snowshoes and helmets. Clothing, gloves, goggles, protective gear, etc. It should be possible to see in detail. Most rentals of snow equipment do not necessarily include these, and it is recommended to bring your own. Equipment rentals are not cheap.
2. Changbaishan Luneng Resort
Luneng's resort is even smaller and newer than Wanda's, with only three hotels inside.
The Meg is comparable to the Park Hyatt and Hyatt. Overall, the Swiss is not as good as the Westin, and about the same as the Sheraton. There is also Jiayuan Country Inn, the style of restoration of the Northeast characteristics of residential, ignore it.
Personally, I prefer the Belvedere. This brand in China is definitely Accor's underrated brand. There used to be a Songtsenlinka Meijing Pavilion, but unfortunately it was withdrawn. Currently, this Belvedere Pavilion in Changbaishan is the only one in China.
This Belvedere has 49 rooms, all facing Changbai Mountain.
Hotels in Switzerland will have more rooms, 684. Switzerland features many chalets that resemble alpine towns, but these are not basic rooms. The basic rooms are centralized hotels.
The Swissotel should be about the same price as the Westin and Sheraton at Wanda Resort during the snow season, but higher than the Zhi Xuan Holiday.
The ski resort in Lunen is good for beginners as there are only beginner and intermediate trails, no advanced trails. That's no problem. For most beginners, you can stand on the intermediate trails and you win.
The Lunen Snowfield is a short trip, less crowded, has new facilities and equipment, and is beautifully priced! A few years ago, even during the snow season, it was hard to get a room at Wanda Resort, but Lunen Resort still doesn't get many visitors.
When you go to Changbaishan, almost 80% of tourists go to Wanda and Luneng resorts. Less than 20 percent will stay in Songjianghe Town, Erdao Baihe Town and Pullman near the airport.
The advantage of the town is that it has more dining facilities and is more cost-effective than the resorts!
3. Songjiang River Town
There are no big shopping malls, nightly hangouts or hip coffee shops. But there are lively stalls, simple and happy brussels sprouts, and some quaint little supermarkets
Many people who live in Wanda and Luneng Resort also go to Songjiang River Town for dinner. It's not too far to drive for about 30 minutes.
But to stay, there are really no hotels in Songjiang town. So we try another way.
4. Erdao Baihe Town
The town of Erdao Baihe mainly plays on the north slope of Changbaishan Mountain, and it takes less than half an hour to get to the north slope gate. If you go to the North Slope from Wanda or Luneng Resort, it takes 2 hours one way and 4 hours round trip.
This town is very famous in Little Red Book. All you need to do is search for the keyword "stew yourself in an iron pot" and it will come up here.
Hailed as the first town under the Changbai Mountains, the pace of life here is slow, and all kinds of greenery can be seen everywhere in summer. It's a real forest town. That's right.
The hotel you can hit is He Zhi Resort, but this hotel is so hot on Little Red Book and Ins that the price is never good enough. But the hotel is a really good one.
This year, Ho Chi Resort is opening a sister property for the snow season, so we can keep a close eye on that. The new hotel, which isn't as well known among Internet celebrities at first, could be a gem.
5. Near Hakusan Airport
Then there's the Pullman by JTV Media near the airport.
It's close to the airport and the western slopes of Changbaishan. Doesn't have its own snowfields, but there is a free shuttle to Luneng Resort. After all, Luneng's two Swiss and Bellevue pavilions are also from Accor.
The advantage of this hotel is that it's good value for money, and will be better suited to students who need a night near the airport for early or late flights.
Beidahu, Yabuli
The reason I put these two together is because they have one **** in common, Club Med, an all-inclusive ski resort.
As usual, the table first.
Overall, going to Yabuli is a bit frustrating. Most people fly to Harbin, and the airport used to be a bit of a hike. And in general, Yabuli was one of the first snow resorts to be developed in China, so some of the amenities are a few years old. It's not as good as some of the newer snow resorts in terms of vacation experience.
Yabuli's biggest advantage is that the snow is good and the ski season is the longest (because it's in Heilongjiang, the highest latitude). The national teams all train in Yabuli. But to be honest, I can't really tell if the snow is almost better for white users.
Beidahu is in Jilin and is known as a powder snow paradise. Prices will be a bit more expensive than Yabuli, after all, the resort is much newer. In terms of transportation, going to Beidaipu is undoubtedly the most convenient. Just take a plane to Changchun, Jilin. There are many flights to Jilin.
I've seen the prices for both CM's during the snow season and they are basically 1000 per person per night. doesn't seem cheap but the good thing about CM's is that it's all inclusive. You get to eat, drink and be merry. There are even instructors and snow gear provided (even lodging for a certain number of nights or more). There's also a professional go-go to help you with the kids, so adults can use it to ski and kids are taken by the go-go to play in the snow, which is naturally great.
In addition to the Club Med, BYU has four other hotels, the Holiday Inn, the North American Time, which you can ski in and out of, the Mountain Lake House, which has a great view on the mountain, and the Star Campground, all of which are located at (and close to) BYU's Husqvarna Resort.
For value for money, going on vacation, skiing comfort to ski in and out of North America, and a vacation experience, Club Med and Mountain Lake Residence are both good.
Practical Skiing Tips:
Most of the products in Changbaishan Wanda, Luneng, Yabuli, and Beidahu contain snow tickets.
Don't be greedy and cheap and get into some hotels that don't contain snow tickets. As mentioned earlier, the Wanda Resort's snow ticket is 650 per person on weekdays.
When it comes to the choice of hotels, the one that you can ski into and out of must be the best (GUI). I suggest you either go for the best or the best value for money.
Skiing also has off-peak season, November and December is relatively cheap; January and February will increase the price; the Spring Festival is naturally the most expensive. Changbai Mountain is mostly long term demand, the price does not go up on weekends, and will go up on holidays.
Look more at the map of the ski resort, you will know whether this ski resort is suitable for you. If you have children with you, the availability of snow recreation programs is important.
The earlier you decide, the cheaper it will be. This year you can refer to Sanya. For example, in March in Tiat 1288 a night, now 3000 a night.
