Yulin used to be called Yuyang, also known as Camel City. Yulin city wall is well preserved and indestructible, with a circumference of 5 miles and 30 steps. There are Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Xingming Building and Wanfu Building in the city, which is called "Little Beiping". Although this ancient city is small in scale, its architectural pattern is similar to that of Beijing. Quiet hutongs are mostly quadrangles with blue brick houses, and jujube trees above the eaves in the courtyard have unique charm and characteristics.
Yulin is located at the crossroads of Sanjin, Qin and Shanxi, and has been a military center in the northwest since ancient times, so there is a saying that "Yulin House, learning to bow and horse, is good at fighting". Historically, it is a military city, so it is also known as "the military and civilians are mixed, and the soldiers pay for their lives." There used to be a saying that "it is windy every year, from spring to winter, the sky is dark and the lights are lit during the day". In the war-torn old China and the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, due to the destruction of man-made and nature, Yulin area has long been riddled with holes and scars. Water, soil, rivers and rural areas are not protected and managed, and people begin to wake up from the lesson that sand enters people and retreats, and fertile land becomes sand. Don't you see that there are piles of uncleaned yellow sand on the high cliff in the west of Yulin City? Did you also leave some "history textbooks" for future generations to let them know the touching stories of ancestors planting grass and trees and fighting against the yellow sand? At present, the afforestation area in Yulin sandy area has reached 6.5438+0.2 million mu, the forest coverage rate has increased from 654.38+0.8% at the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China to more than 33%, and four large windbreak and sand-fixing forest belts with a distance of 654.38+0.500 km have been built, effectively controlling the shifting of quicksand to the south, and the ecological environment has begun to change to a virtuous circle.
Yulin is a national historical and cultural city. /kloc-The ruins of Daxia Capital 0/500 years ago are nearby, and the magnificent Zhenbeitai in the north of the city still stands there, and the cliff stone carvings in Hongshixia have been preserved. Yulin's unique natural and cultural landscape, and the local customs formed by the integration and exchange of Yulin loess culture and grassland nomadic culture are hard to find elsewhere. Yulin's unique regional characteristics are also attractive and desirable. Because there are many deserts around Yulin, some people call her "Kuwait of China".
I was walking in the city street of Yulin, and saw some old people downstairs chatting with lark cages in their hands, so I leaned over and said, What a lark! An old man joked that it can also sing mountain climbing tune. I smiled and said, why did I come to Yulin to drink? The water here is so delicious. The old man put down the birdcage and said seriously, "well, you must be new here, so I don't blame you!" " ! When it comes to groundwater in Yulin, I'm not bragging, it's all mineral water! It is the best mineral water in China, much better than that in Laoshan, Qingdao! Water is sweet, to say nothing of pollution. All the water here comes from the sand layer below several hundred meters. Do you think drinking is bad? Look at the sand wall left by the west of the city. How pure the sand is! "
I really listened to the old man. I crossed the Yuxi River Bridge in the scorching sun of northern Shaanxi in May and came to the sand wall to see the yellow sand here. I rub the sand repeatedly with my hands and blow it with my mouth. It's really pure and indescribable, and some are quartzite powder, which shines in the sun and shines into my eyes. Walking down from the fixed sand wall, I came to a small street in a residential area, which can also be said to be a vegetable market. There are all kinds of cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbages, green and fresh, cultivated with underground mineral water. It is really "green food". The most striking thing is that Yulin people don't put meat on the board, but hang half a fan of pork or large pieces of beef and mutton on the crossbar and hook them with hooks for you to see clearly. Balances are also weighed with hooks. The butcher cut it down and hooked it with fish scales, and the fish scales were picked up, which was almost the same, showing the superb skills of the butcher. I think this is another scenic spot in Yulin, but it is outside the city. People inside and outside Yulin city, every household is piled with things made of big charcoal and black god house coal, piled under the wall of the courtyard gate. Isn't this another strange' landscape'?
Yulin left a deep impression on me: towering ancient city walls, pavilions in the city, towering terraces in the north of the city, beaches in the west of the city, rice fields in Yuxi on the edge of the city, sand seas in the northeast of the city, large areas of trees and forest belts ... Yulin's greening is advanced in the "Three North" and its achievements are remarkable, as a writer wrote when collecting wind in Yulin: "The shadows of trees are repeated, and the speed is getting greener." It's all in emerald rust. "Yulin, the pride of northern Shaanxi!
