The fifth class of Tiangong Classroom will start at 15:40 on December 9, 2021; the second class will be held in the afternoon of March 23, 2022; and the third class will be held at 15:45 on October 12, 2022.

The Tiangong Classroom is the first space science education brand launched to utilize the comprehensive benefits of China's space station. "Tiangong classroom" combined with manned missions, through the construction of China's space station and in-orbit operation of the series launched by Chinese astronauts as a "space teacher", to the young people as the main object, to take the sky and the earth synergistic interactive way to carry out.

The Tiangong classroom has gradually become a national brand for China's popularization of space science.

On September 21, 2023, the fourth class of the Tiangong classroom began. CCTV News jointly with the China Science and Technology Museum, Jiangsu, Hunan, Sichuan, Xinjiang and other places science caravan into the campus, Hong Kong, Macao and other places "Tiangong classroom" branch, held a special space theme activities.

Lecture activities were jointly organized by the China Manned Space Engineering Office, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, and the China Central Radio and Television General Administration (CCTV)***, with the support of the China Science and Technology Museum and the relevant research and testing units of the Manned Space Engineering. Afterwards, the "Tiangong Classroom" will continue to carry out space teaching activities, actively disseminate manned spaceflight knowledge and culture, and continue to carry out various forms of space science education with rich content.

At 15:40 on March 23, 2022, the second lesson of "Tiangong Classroom" began. In the course of this dialogue between heaven and earth, data transmission mainly relies on the relay satellite system, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, the 10th Institute of China Electrotechnical Science to undertake research and development of the Beijing Tianchain II 01 star ground terminal station and Kashgar Tianchain I 03 star ground terminal station, as well as supporting the ranging repeater equipment as an important part of the system.

Significance of the lecture

China's space station, as a national space laboratory and an important base for space science education, contains unique and rich educational resources, and has a special advantage in inspiring the public, especially young people, to carry forward the spirit of science and love of the space industry.

The Tiangong classroom, which combines manned missions with the construction and on-orbit operation of China's space station, will be launched in a series, and will be staffed by Chinese astronauts who will serve as "space teachers", with young people as the main target, and will be carried out in a coordinated interactive manner between heaven and earth.
