There are no direct trains or airplanes to reach the scenic area, and Linfen City, Shanxi Province and Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province are the two most common stopovers. General route to Hukou Falls on the Shaanxi side: Xi'an City/Yan'an City - Hukou Falls; Yan'an City - Yichuan County - Hukou Falls. General route to Hukou Falls on the west side of the mountain: Linfen City, chartered buses; Linfen City - Jixian County - Hukou Falls.

Airplane: visit Hukou Falls can be divided into two provinces to reach the Shaanxi side of the nearest airport for the Yan'an airport, but also from Xi'an transfer direct, Xi'an East Bus Station has a direct shuttle bus to Hukou Falls. The nearest airport to the scenic spot on the west side of the mountain is Linfen Qiao Li Airport, but the transportation from the airport to the scenic spot is more inconvenient, so taking a train or car is still the most ideal way to reach Hukou Falls.

Train: ①Yan'an Railway Station currently has D or K trains from Xi'an, Baoji, Shanghai, Yulin, Yinchuan, Baotou, Beijing, Tianjin, Hohhot, Chongqing, Changchun, Urumqi, Chengdu, Kunming, Qiqihar, Ankang, Shenmu. Address: Qilipu, Baota District, Yan'an City, Arrival Transportation: 1, 3, 12, 13, 18, 22, 11, 30, Vice 18, K7 Train Station Station. Precautions

Winter due to the occurrence of the Yellow River Ling Xun, Hukou scenic area may be closed, so it is recommended to call the scenic area in advance to ask. Winter viewing waterfalls should be entrance: if it is the afternoon of winter, I personally recommend or Shanxi side is good, the sun is shining on the shore, warm and beautiful. On the contrary, if you go in the morning, the Shaanxi side may be better. There is a dragon cave in the Shanxi scenic area where you can see the waterfall up close, while the Shaanxi side does not. Hukou in winter, Shaanxi side of the bank is all ice, not good to walk; while the west side of the mountain has less ice and snow, although the ice melted some mud, but the overall road condition is good. Both dining and shopping, both sides are concentrated at the visitor center, providing some simple noodles, snacks and special products.
