Using the Library and Making Your Own Materials

--ConceptBoard for iOS tutorial

Now more than ever, the need for creativity and its corresponding deadlines has been accelerated by the emergence of smart tools.

Adjustable vector materials that provide a quick frame work definitely fit the definition of a "smart tool". The materials in the Concept Board are pre-made, royalty-free, and fully adjustable to meet the needs of our current projects. Simply click or drag them onto the canvas, edit them (if you like), and build on the material.

You can also create a personal library of clips using the Make Your Own Clips feature. With a little preparation, it's easy and fast to deliver live presentations, sketches, interior and architectural floor plans, and even landscape designs in your own style.

Here's how to use, edit, create, and share clips from the Concept Board. Each clip is iMessage compatible, which means that any clip you draw can be used as an iMessage sticker. There's more on this below as well.

Open Concept Board and go to a drawing. Find the Import button on the canvas. Tap it and the gallery will expand along the edge of the screen. Clicking again hides the gallery.

You can find all the clips you own in My Clips. This includes purchased and self-built packs. Long press and drag these packs to reorder them, then scroll horizontally to see all the clips in the pack.

The Import bar opens the Albums and Files app for importing images. The shortcut to the Import column (to avoid opening clips) is to double-click the Import button on the canvas.

Once you've found a package you like, click on it and it will appear on the canvas.

To create your own clips, you need to purchase the Make Your Own Clips feature or a subscription from the Marketplace. Once purchased, you can create unlimited packs of any number of clips.

Anything you draw, select, and add to a custom pack is considered a clip.

Click the plus sign. You can quickly return to the canvas, and a blank clip pack appears next to the import bar, including a clipboard and a plus icon.

To delete, name, or share a pack in the My Clips column of the Import menu, do the same.

That's it. Whatever you imagine, make it into clips and packs and add it to your library and to your heart. Click or drag and drop onto the canvas to speed up the work in your own style.

A subscription unlocks team sharing of self-built material packs, self-built brushes, and self-built color palettes. Recipients of the content you share don't have to subscribe to the software, as long as they're signed up for a free account with Concept Art Board.

We hope you enjoy the flexibility and efficiency that the library offers. If you have any questions about using or creating materials, please email concepts@tophatch.com. We're happy to help.
