One of the important reasons is the high production cost. Take a large fast food restaurant as an example. However, it must be said that although the pursuit of economic benefits should not be at the expense of destroying the environment, and protecting the environment is the minimum social responsibility of every enterprise, there are no laws and regulations requiring our enterprises to accept this new product that is beneficial to society but not to enterprises. Because the price of environmental protection disposable tableware is not advantageous, enterprises aiming at maximizing economic benefits will naturally not take the initiative to use this new environmental protection product. They speak the same language, and the government has not forced us. Why should we ask for trouble?

It can be seen that it is useless to rely on manufacturers to sing "one-man show", and government laws or regulations are the "catalysts" for the benign development of the market.

2. How to solve the "white pollution"

Through this semester's research, we have a certain understanding of white pollution, so we boldly put forward several control methods:

(1) Determination and implementation of government regulations

Guangzhou Municipal Government stipulates that from September 1 day, disposable non-degradable food containers such as lunch boxes, cups and bowls made of expanded polystyrene and polyethylene shall not be produced, sold or used within the administrative area of Guangzhou. Incorporate the production and sales of disposable tableware in the city into the certification management of environmental protection "green products". Hotels, restaurants, food stalls and other catering business units or individuals that use disposable tableware must use tableware that meets the requirements of environmental protection. Those who violate the regulations will be given a warning or fined as appropriate. A year later, outsiders found that Guangzhou, which was once full of "white garbage" in the corner, had changed its old look. This is the effect of strengthening management. Today, Shanghai, Hangzhou and other cities have also promulgated similar management regulations.

It can be seen that laws and regulations have a strong binding force on "white pollution".

(2) Strengthen the development and promotion of environmental protection fast food boxes.

Although more than 100 enterprises in China have invested in the research and development of environmental protection fast food boxes, there are not many products that meet the standards, and the huge market demand cannot be met in the grove. With the improvement of laws and regulations, can the quality, variety and appearance of products meet the needs of all walks of life? Is the sales network of products perfect? These are all problems that need to be improved urgently.

(3) the enhancement of citizens' environmental awareness

This is a long-term and extremely important plan. We can only say that environmental awareness must permeate all aspects of society, daily education (especially for teenagers) and publicity.
