For example, if there is a major incident, an emergency, or a happy event in the company and we subconsciously speak a few words of Cantonese, and it so happens that the coworkers who are conversing with us also speak Cantonese, they also subconsciously talk to us, and even though the coworkers next to us don't understand, at least the content that we need to communicate has already been conveyed, and the coworkers who don't speak Cantonese will not be penalized. If the colleague who doesn't speak Cantonese is one of our important communication targets, we will use Putonghua to communicate again in a timely manner afterwards, if not, we just use Putonghua to simply reply to the meaning of what other people have just said, and even if we do, we will be severely penalized and fined, then I think there is something wrong with this rule. The reason is that communicating with Cantonese-speaking colleagues does not affect the work at all, and as Guangzhou people, the first language we want to use to communicate important information is naturally Cantonese, which is equivalent to our mother tongue and is the most widely used language in our daily life, so if we need to communicate with colleagues who don't speak Cantonese in Mandarin, we can do it very well. The fact that you can't speak Cantonese in your own language is a good thing, but it's also a good thing that you can understand what you're saying in your own language.
