Kunhu Village is one of the 11 administrative villages in Zhonglou Township, Pingtan County. It is located in the northwest of Zhonglou Township. It has three natural villages with a total of 581 households, including 214 in Shangkun Lake, 311 in Xiakun Lake and 66 in Beicuochang. The total population of the village is 2,151, and the cultivated land area is 99 mu. It is an agricultural village. The characteristic rural industries mainly include peanuts, potatoes and dried radish. There are 16 villagers' groups in our village * * *, with 41 villagers' representatives and 35 in party member. The main sources of villagers' income in our village are: (1) farmers at home mainly rely on crop production to get income; (2) Most migrant workers are young people, men mainly work in tunnel projects to earn income, and women mainly work in manufacturing industries to earn income. (3) Some young people stay in local enterprises after graduation from school.

Kunhu Village pays attention to developing characteristic industries and increasing villagers' income. According to the natural environment, geographical location and characteristic crop productivity characteristics of our village, we should focus on three major crop industries: peanut, potato and dried radish:

Peanut production: the production of peanuts is mainly planted in the family unit, and the harvested peanuts are mainly used in the following aspects except for family consumption: selecting and keeping seeds; Making cooked peanuts; Making peanut oil; Part of it is also used for sale.

potato production: potato is a crop that can't tolerate continuous cropping, and it is often planted on cultivated land every other year or two, so it is used to grow other crops when the cultivated land is rested. The harvested potatoes are mainly used for sale and some for family consumption.

production of dried radish: the cultivation of carrots is mainly carried out in a cooperative way. The harvesting and preliminary processing of carrots have been partially mechanized, and manual operation is mostly used in drying and pickling. The pickled dried radish is also mainly used for sale, which is an important part of farmers' income in our village.

There are 3 members of the Party branch in our village, 5 members of the village committee, 3 members of supervision committee, 41 villagers' representatives and 35 members of party member. In dealing with the affairs of our village, the Party branch plays the leading role, the village committee plays the role of organization and coordination, the party member team plays the vanguard and exemplary role, the villagers' representatives play the role of bridge, the elderly association plays the role of participation and promotion, and at the same time drives the farmers' main role. Under the joint efforts of the leadership of the Party branch of our village and various village organizations, our village has completed the following tasks: (1) The comprehensive management of environmental sanitation has been strengthened to ensure that there is no garbage along the highway, designated garbage dumps have been set up, roadside ditches have been cleaned in time, and domestic garbage has been disposed of, which has greatly improved the environmental sanitation of the village department and improved the appearance of the village. (2) Raise funds to improve the road lighting system in the village and install new lighting lamps on both sides of the main road in the village. At present, most of the main streets and public places have installed street lamps, and they are open on time, which greatly reduces the safety hazards of villagers' travel at night. (3) In terms of social welfare work, based on the principles of justice, fairness and openness, we give priority to the elderly, the physically disabled, the infirm and the people returning to poverty due to illness, and then discuss them at the conference, fully respect the opinions and suggestions of the villagers' representatives, and ensure that the places of needy households and five-guarantee households will actually benefit the needy people. (4) In the process of building a new socialist countryside, the most important task of health work is to improve rural medical and health conditions, reduce the burden of farmers' medical expenses, and improve farmers' health level. We have intensified publicity, strengthened the follow-up and implementation of uninsured personnel, and ensured that more villagers can participate in insurance and enjoy preferential policies from the state, with the participation rate reaching over 95%. (5) In order to speed up the construction of Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone and create a more convenient Pingtan external channel and a * * * home for cross-strait cooperation, Fuping Railway Construction Project was implemented in our region. At present, the Fuping Railway Project in Kunhu Village has entered the final stage of land acquisition compensation, and the Fuping Railway Project has also started construction in Kunhu Village.
