Geological characteristics
Except Silurian and Permian, strata in all ages from Cambrian to Quaternary are exposed, especially Jurassic strata in Mesozoic. Followed by Carboniferous strata, the lithology is mainly volcanic rocks mixed with sedimentary rocks and shale, siltstone mixed with limestone, etc. Volcanic rocks are mainly Yanshan III granite and Jurassic andesite.
The structure in the area is located in the southwest section of Zihui 'ao fault bundle, which is mainly composed of coastal mountain fault block and Huiyang sag. The fold structures in this area are mainly NE-trending, NS-trending and SW-trending. The fault structures are developed and interwoven in size, just like a spider web. Specifically, there are three groups: NE, NW and EW, and the NE group has the largest development scale, which affects the stability of strata in the area.
