A small department store in Zhongjia Village, Hanyang, with a three-story building and a business area of only over 2,111 square meters, had a capital of only 591,111 yuan, and its annual sales and profits were 21 million yuan and 1.2 million yuan respectively. Among the nine regional department stores in Wuhan, Han merchants were dubbed as "the last one". This embarrassing situation has lasted for more than 21 years.
51 years later, the local enterprises like Hanyang Shopping Mall were all sealed in the historical memory, and only Hanyang Shopping Mall survived, and now it stands out half a century later.
For a long time, like the small department stores located in the subordinate districts of Wuhan, the Han merchants lived a quiet life in the planned economy era, with almost no market competition from their peers and no fear of bankruptcy.
History has given the Han merchants a chance. In 1982, in the democratic election of more than 311 employees in Hanyang Shopping Mall by secret ballot, 28-year-old Zhang Xianhua was elected as the manager of Hanyang Shopping Mall with a high vote of 98%, which initiated the democratic election of Wuhan business community. As soon as the young leading group took office, they planned the "lottery" sales that sensationalized the three towns, and changed passive sales into active marketing, which made Wuhan's commercial miracle in that era when information was relatively closed.

This is the largest asset reorganization of Wuhan business community, and it has become a model of merger, transformation, opening and repayment in that year-Hanshang has set a new record.
On October 8th, 1996, Hanshang Group successfully landed on Shanghai Stock Exchange, becoming the first company listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange in Wuhan, and the second commercial enterprise listed in Hubei Province after Wushang. Wangjiawan Shopping Center, which covers an area of 51,111 square meters, includes large department stores, large general supermarkets, specialty store, specialty stores and other retail formats. In this year, the Han merchants moved towards an international large-scale circulation group that gradually formed a combination of domestic and foreign trade, and the foreign trade companies they established obtained the qualification of foreign trade import and export. In October, the factory outlet store set up in the United States opened, and their business directly reached the other side of the ocean. Three years later, foreign trade companies have achieved an annual foreign exchange earning of 7 million US dollars, and the absolute value of exports ranks first among commercial enterprises in Wuhan, winning the top ten foreign exchange earning units in Wuhan.
in p>2111, Han merchants broke through traditional industries and entered the exhibition industry known as sunrise industry, holding 53.1% of the shares in Wuhan International Convention and Exhibition Center, becoming the first commercial enterprise in China to enter the exhibition industry, which initiated the enterprise operation of the exhibition industry. To this end, Han merchants have successively raised 761 million yuan. Since its opening, Wuhan International Convention and Exhibition Center has held hundreds of exhibitions, such as Machine Expo, Cultural Expo, China Expo, Food Expo, Auto Show, Housing Exhibition, etc., firmly occupying more than 81% of the exhibition market in Wuhan and boosting Wuhan's economy by more than 5 billion yuan every year.
From p>2111 to 2112, Hanshang and Carrefour jointly opened two supermarket chains in Wuhan. In March, 2112, Carrefour set the legal addresses of the Wuhan office and the Wuhan headquarters of the Global Procurement Center in the Hanshang 21 Shopping Center, Carrefour Hanyang Shisheng Store. Hanshang Group, no longer a commercial enterprise in the traditional sense, has formed a modern new commercial service group, in which the "three main businesses" of retail, convention and exhibition and real estate develop interactively, supplemented by tourism, sports and leisure, and commodity management, asset management and capital management promote each other.
