"Property Management Regulations" Article 77 The owner shall not change the residence into a business house in violation of laws, regulations and management regulations. Owners who change their houses into business houses shall obtain the consent of interested owners in addition to observing laws, regulations and management regulations.

Residence, humble abode, house and residence, also known as houses and mansions, refer to houses specially designed for living, including villas, apartments, dormitories for employees' families, dormitories for single employees and dormitories for students. Residential buildings do not include uninhabited basements used for civil air defense in residential buildings, nor do they include special-purpose houses such as nurseries, wards, sanatoriums and hotels.

Article 39 of the Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates: "The houses of People's Republic of China (PRC) and citizens are inviolable." Legally speaking, a house is a closed space of a family's daily life, and outsiders are not allowed to enter it at will.
