Since the birth of the scanning gun in the 1981s, it has been rapidly developed and widely used. From the most direct pictures, photographs and films to various drawings, graphs and manuscripts, the scanning gun can be used to input into the computer, so as to realize the processing, management, use, storage or output of these image information.
Working principle:
Common flat-plate scanning guns are generally composed of light source, optical lens, scanning module, analog-digital conversion circuit and plastic casing. It uses photoelectric elements to convert the detected optical signals into electrical signals, and then converts the electrical signals into digital signals through analog-digital converters and transmits them to the computer for processing. When scanning an image, the reflected light from the light source shines on the image and converges on the scanning module through the lens. The scanning module converts the light signal into an analog digital signal (that is, voltage, which is related to the intensity of the received light), and points out the gloomy degree of that image. At this time, the analog-digital conversion circuit converts the analog voltage into a digital signal and sends it to the computer. The color is quantized by 8, 11 and 12 bits of RGB, which not only processes the signal into the above-mentioned digital images for output. If there are higher quantization digits, it means that the image can have richer levels and depths, but the color range is beyond the human eye's recognition ability. Therefore, for us, the effect of scanning with a higher number of digits is that the color is smooth and we can see more details of the picture.
