Incentive measures for domestic waste sorting in Shenzhen

On 7 October, Shenzhen Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau held a press conference on the Incentive Measures for Domestic Waste Sorting in Shenzhen (hereinafter referred to as the Measures), which was officially implemented on 1 October this year.

The formulation of the Measures is based on the establishment of an incentive mechanism to further guide and promote residential areas, party and government organs and institutions, schools, enterprises, families and individuals to actively participate in the classification of domestic waste, improve the participation rate of residents and the accuracy of delivery, thus improving the recycling rate of domestic waste and ensuring greater achievements in the garbage classification work in our city.

The Measures closely follow the new spirit, new deployment and new requirements of waste sorting, benchmark advanced cities at home and abroad, and combine the reality of Shenzhen.
