Nanchang ship is the first generation of domestic guided-missile destroyers, November 1982 into the ranks, August 1, 1986 officially named Nanchang ship, in September this year in Lushun military port officially retired. With a length of 132 meters, a width of 12.8 meters, a draft of 4.6 meters and a displacement of 3,250 tons, the Nanchang is still quite large. It can not only serve as offensive assault mission, but also undertake the anti-aircraft and anti-submarine escort mission of combat formation, and also serve as a support force in landing and anti-landing operations. Since its service for more than 30 years, the Nanchang ship has a cumulative range of 170,000 nautical miles, and has played an important role in major missions such as the China-Russia joint military exercises and the security of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

On the morning of October 10, 2016, after a month's voyage, the gloriously retired first-generation domestic guided-missile destroyer Nanchang ship finally returned to its final place of belonging - the hero city of Nanchang, becoming the first destroyer in our army to return to the birthplace of the People's Army, the local people spontaneously held a brief welcome ceremony. It is understood that the Nanchang ship berthing point will be built into a unique theme park.
