Zhaoping County belongs to Hezhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Zhaoping is located in the east of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in the middle reaches of Gui Jiang, and belongs to Hezhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Geographical coordinates are 23 39' ~ 24 24' north latitude and 111 34' ~ 111 19' east longitude. It borders Hexian County in the east, mengshan county in the west, Cangwu County in the southeast, tengxian in the southwest and Lipu, Pingle and Zhongshan counties in the north. The county covers an area of 3273 square kilometers.

The geology in Zhaoping County has changed many times.
