Introducing all parts of Hong Kong
There are 18 districts in Hong Kong to facilitate the Government's co-ordination and management of services and facilities at the district level, and to encourage public participation in district affairs. All districts have District Councils, whose functions are mainly advisory in nature. The District Councils are part of Hong Kong's parliamentary system, but they do not have the power to legislate or approve government public ****expenditures, nor do they have zoning laws or taxes. The 18 districts are:

Hong Kong Island

Central and Western District

The Central and Western District can be subdivided into three parts, namely Central, Western and Mid-levels, with Central covering the districts of Admiralty, Central and Sheung Wan, and Western covering the districts of Sai Wan (i.e. Sai Ying Pun, Shek Tong Tsui, and Sai Wan), Ying Pun, Shek Tong Tsui and Mid-levels. Central District includes Admiralty, Central and Sheung Wan, Western District includes Sai Wan (i.e. Sai Ying Pun, Shek Tong Tsui and Kennedy Town) and Mount Davis, while Mid-Levels includes the area around Tai Ping Shan and the northern part of Pokfulam (mainly around the University of Hong Kong).

Eastern District

The Eastern District includes Causeway Bay East (Tin Hau), Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter, Victoria Park, North Point, Quarry Bay, Shau Kei Wan, Taikoo Shing, Sai Wan Ho, Chai Wan and Siu Sai Wan. Victoria Park and Queen's College in the west and Wan Chai District in the west; Black Point and Southern District in the south.

Southern District

The Southern District is located in the southern part of Hong Kong Island, stretching from Tai Long Wan in the east to Pokfulam in the west, and includes the districts of Aberdeen, Ap Lei Chau, Steel Wire Bay, Pokfulam, Wong Chuk Hang, Deep Water Bay, Repulse Bay, Stanley, Tai Tam and Shek O. It is the largest district in Hong Kong.

Wan Chai District

Wan Chai District includes Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Happy Valley, Tai Hang, Jardine's Lookout and Wan Chai Gap.

Kowloon West

Kowloon City District

Kowloon City District is mainly residential buildings and includes Kowloon City, Kowloon Tong, Homantin, Ma Tau Wai, Ma Tau Kok, To Kwa Wan, Hung Hom and Kai Tak.

Sham Shui Po District

Sham Shui Po District includes Sham Shui Po, Cheung Sha Wan, Lai Chi Kok, Mei Foo Sun Chuen, So Uk, Shek Kip Mei, Festival Walk, and southern Stonecutters Island.

Yau Tsim Mong District

The name is a combination of the initials of the three main districts of the district - Yau Ma Tei, Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok.

Kowloon East

Wong Tai Sin District

Located in the northeast of the Kowloon Peninsula, with Lion Rock, Tate's Cairn and Tsz Wan Shan at its back in the north, and Fei Ngo Shan in the east, Wong Tai Sin District includes Wong Tai Sin, Ngau Chi Wan, Choi Hung Estate, Diamond Hill, Tsz Wan Shan, Lok Fu, San Po Kong, and Chuk Yuen Estate, among other places.

Kwun Tong District

Kwun Tong District includes Kwun Tong Town Center, Ngau Tau Kok, Kowloon Bay, Sau Mau Ping, Lam Tin, Cha Kwo Ling, Yau Tong, Shun Lee Tsuen, Shun Tin Estate, Jordan Valley and other places.

New Territories East

North District

The North District is divided into four parts: Sheung Shui, Fanling, Sha Tau Kok, and Ta Kwu Ling, and in the early days, the North District was also known as "Sheung Fan, Sha Tau Kok".

Sai Kung District

Sai Kung District is geographically divided into "Sai Kung and Sai Kung Rural Area" and "Tseung Kwan O and Clear Water Bay Peninsula".

The "Sai Kung and Sai Kung Rural Areas" include Sai Kung Town, Pak Sha Wan, Po Lo Che, Tseng Lan Shue, Pik Uk, Tai Mong Tsai, Pak Tam Chung, Oyster Chung, and Man Yee Reservoir.

"Tseung Kwan O and Clear Water Bay Peninsula" includes Tai Po Tsai, Tseung Kwan O, Hang Hau, Tiu Keng Leng, Mau Wu Tsai, Clear Water Bay, Po Toi O, Tai Chik Sha and Siu Chik Sha.

Sha Tin District

Originally, Sha Tin District was only reclaimed land on both sides of the Sha Tin Hoi and Shing Mun River, including Tai Wai, Fo Tan, Wo Che, Shek Mun, Siu Lek Yuen, Yuen Chau Kok and Ma Liu Shui.

Tai Po District

Tai Po District is located in the central part of the New Territories, stretching from Tai Po Kau in the south to Pat Sin Leng in the north, bordering Tai Dao Flexi in the west, and straddling the Tolo Harbour in the east, and includes places such as Fourteen Heung Yee Kok, Wong Chuk Long in the north of Sai Kung on the opposite shore, as well as the outlying islands of Tap Mun, Ping Chau, and Chek Chau.

Kwai Tsing District

The "Kwai Tsing District" is bounded by Wo Yi Hop Road, Shing Mun Road, Castle Peak Road and Texaco Road in the north, Ching Cheung Road and Lai King Hill Road in the south and Texaco Road in the west.

Tsuen Wan District

Tsuen Wan District was re-demarcated and bounded by Shing Mun Road, Wo Yi Hop Road, Cheong Wing Road, Castle Peak Road and Texaco Road in the east, Ting Kau Coastal Route and Ma Wan Channel in the south, Ka Loon Tsuen at Tsing Lung Tau in the west and Tai Mo Shan Country Park near Tsuen Kam Au and Shing Mun Country Park near Lead Mine Au in the north.

Tuen Mun District

Tuen Mun is located in the western part of Hong Kong's New Territories, bordered by Yuen Long District in the north, Tsuen Wan District in the east, the Pearl River Estuary in the west, and Lantau Island in the south across the sea. The center of the district is surrounded by Castle Peak (583 meters high) in the west, Kau Yuk Shan (507 meters high) in the east, Yuen Tau Shan and Yuen Long Plain in the north, and Castle Peak Bay in the south into the sea. The center of the district is sandwiched between two high mountains, Castle Peak and Kau Yun Shan, and the Tuen Mun River separates East and West Tuen Mun.

Yuen Long District

Yuen Long District consists of Ha Tsuen Township (including Hung Shui Kiu, Pak Nai, Lau Fau Shan, etc.), Ping Shan Township (including the western part of Yuen Long town center, Heng Chau, Tin Shui Wai, Tsim Bei Tsui, etc.), Shap Pat Heung (including the eastern part of Yuen Long town center, Au Tau, Nam Sang Wai, etc.), Kam Tin Township, Pat Heung (including Shek Kong, etc.) and San Tin Township (including Lok Ma Chau, Mai Po, etc.). Yuen Long District extends from Chau Tau in the east to Ma Tso Lung in the North District, and from Hung Shui Kiu in the south to Lam Tei in Tuen Mun District.
