The origin of Tieguanyin
There are many names of tea, the most common ones are Tieguanyin, Oolong, Narcissus, Weili or Zhejiang Black Tea. Every kind of tea has its own spread and different taste. As far as the spread of Tieguanyin is concerned, let's start with the origin of Tieguanyin's name. There are two ways to spread it. Speaking of the Qing Dynasty, during the Qianlong period, Wang Shiliang, a scholar from Anxi, Jian Peijun, found a beautiful tea tree at the foot of Guanyin Mountain on his way to a party with friends, and moved it back to his garden to take good care of it. The tea tree grows day by day, and Wang Shiliang picks its tender leaves to make tea for drinking, which feels better than timely Bird Dragon Tea.
At that time, Wang Tuliang took this kind of tea to visit Guo Xiang, and Guo Xiang gave it to Emperor Qianlong. After drinking, Gan Long was not very happy. Because of its beautiful appearance and heavy weight, it is named Tieguanyin.
Another legend was also born in the Qianlong period. Yin Wei, a famous tea farmer in Anxi, believed in Buddhism and offered tea to Guanyin Bodhisattva every morning, which has never stopped for decades.
One night, after Wei fell asleep after drinking, he dreamed that the Bodhisattva appeared on the cliff in the back mountain. Wei immediately drank it and knelt in front of him, only to find that there was a swaying tea tree scattered with fragrant orchids on the stone wall. Wei was about to reach for it when he was drinking, but his beautiful dream was broken by the barking of dogs. After waking up, Yin Wei couldn't sleep, so he went up the mountain to look for tea trees according to the impression in his dream. As a result, he found his dream tea tree in the deep mountains. Yin Wei immediately picked some tea leaves and took them home to make tea. After soaking, he is absolutely delicious and can be said to be the king of tea.
The next day, Yin Wei went up the mountain again and propagated tea trees by cutting and planted them in iron nests. The taste of the obtained tea leaves is still the same as that of the original plants. Yin Wei kept these teas as treasures at home, and only took them out for people to taste when guests came to the door, and everyone who drank them praised them.
One day, a scholar tasted this kind of tea and was surprised by its sweetness. He asked Wei about the source of drinking tea. Yin Wei told his dream to the scholar, and showed that the stone wall of the tea tree looked like arhat. He wanted to name the tea Arhat. Think about it, Shu thought that Yin Wei found the precious tree from his dream, which should be his sincere feelings, so he gave him the tree in his dream, added tea trees and planted it in an iron pot. Tea leaves are as thick as iron, and this tea should be called iron. Wei Yi drank it and immediately praised it. Tieguanyin was handed down.
Biluochun is produced in Dongting Mountain, Wuxian County, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, a famous scenic spot in China. In the Tang Dynasty, Lu Yu mentioned "Shengdongting Mountain in Changzhou County, Suzhou" in the Book of Tea. The tea produced in Dongting Mountain is commonly known as "scary fragrance" because of its high aroma. Later, after Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty tasted this kind of tea, he realized that it was produced by Biluofeng in Dongting Mountain and renamed it "Biluochun". During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, Wang Yingkui wrote this story in "The Continuation of Liunan": "There are several wild tea trees in the stone wall of Robbie Peak in Dongting Mountain. Every year, local people collect them with bamboo baskets for daily use. After decades, they didn't see any difference. One year in Kangxi, they picked many leaves according to the waiting time, and the laundry list was difficult to store. Because in my arms, the tea is hot and fragrant, and the tea pickers are frightened. Scaring people is also known in Wuzhong dialect, so it is named tea cloud. Naturally, every time after picking tea, the natives, men, women and children, should bathe and change clothes, go to the room as much as possible, and hold them in their arms without a laundry list, while Zhu, a native, has a unique refining method, which comes from his home, especially called wonderful products, and is worth three taels per catty. 1699 years old, I was lucky enough to drive in Taihu lake. Duke Song bought this tea, which was titled "Biluochun" because of its indecent name. Since it is a local official, it must be purchased at the age of 18. "
