Universal Studios Beijing is hiring a Retail Operations Team Leader.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Generate revenue from sales transactions with guests at Universal Beijing Resort's many indoor and outdoor merchandising areas, including stores, games, and vending machines. Follows Universal Beijing Resort's visitor/customer service standards and actively interacts with visitors in a friendly, courteous manner to increase sales of products featured in each area and maintains their respective service areas, including restocking.

Responsibilities:

1. Promote select merchandise or games at the resort to provide an interactive experience for visitors.? Greet visitors and thank them as they leave.? Utilizes visitor interaction, theming, informational **** enjoyment and/or game participation to stimulate enthusiasm and interest in purchasing merchandise, utilizing merchandising techniques to create a fun and highly engaging environment.? Communicate with management team to improve visitor and team member experience.

2. Actively displays products and utilizes suggested selling techniques to encourage visitors to purchase merchandise.

3. Process merchandise sales and proceeds and package merchandise; process electronic payments, cash, credit card transactions, gift cards, game passes and discounts (if applicable).

4. Cleans floors, counters, and displays with rags, brooms, brushes, and/or cleaners, following standards for the appearance of the sales area, outdoor shopping carts, or gaming area. Accesses and maintains merchandise, stuffed animals and/or daily necessities according to relevant standards.

Qualifications

1. Recognizes a range of two- and three-syllable words and is able to identify the similarities and differences between words and strings of numbers. and strings of numbers.? Ability to write simple letters.? Be able to respond to common questions or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or co-workers.

2. Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals in all units of measure, and be able to use U.S. units of currency as well as units of weight, volume, and distance for these operations.

3. Ability to use common sense to carry out detailed but unambiguous tendencies in written or oral instructions.? Ability to handle standardized situations involving few or no variables.
