"Nobody knows how to mend fences, only God knows" is a couplet, which originated from the "Tongrentang" pharmacy in Beijing. It is said that this is an ancient saying handed down by the ancestors of Tong Ren Tang. Come to think of it, this couplet is very interesting:
The word "repair" is interpreted as the brewing process of Chinese patent medicine. The meaning of this association is: in the process of drug brewing, whether the weight of the drug is enough, whether the medicinal materials used are superior, whether the production process really follows the rules, and so on. Others can't understand it at all, but it's right to have a clear conscience. All this is known from heaven and earth, and it has its own public opinion.
This couplet is extremely beautiful, not because the antithesis is neat, but because the content is very clear and ingenious. Not to mention that it is used in pharmacies, even as a code of conduct, it is in place. I immediately remembered it and admired it.
