Mutong blueberry base

Legend has it that the British who went to North America by boat suffered from terrible "septicemia" because of the long-term lack of fresh fruits and vegetables, and the local Indians gave them a small blue-purple fruit and cured them.

Because this fruit has a star-shaped pedicle at the bottom, it is called "star fruit", which is what we now call blueberry. There is such a blueberry base near Mulan Lake, where 23 blueberry varieties have been introduced and cultivated, and visitors can enter the park for picking and tasting. Because there are few pests and diseases of blueberries, the park only uses biological lights to trap and kill insects, and the plants are planted by Mulan Lake, surrounded by water and forests, so blueberries can be eaten immediately without cleaning.

At present, more than 11 varieties, such as O 'Neill, Emerald, Misty, Legacy and brigitta, have matured. Blueberries in the whole base can be picked from mid-May to mid-August. There are staff in the park to explain blueberry knowledge and taste blueberry wine!
