Guangyuan city is an important organic selenium-rich and zinc-rich green tea producing area in Sichuan, with a long history of tea planting and profound tea culture. Levin Pocha and seven buddha Tea were identified as tribute teas in the Western Han Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty respectively. The ancient tea tree in Levin has survived to this day, and now Zhaohua is called "Tuomeng" in ancient times, which is the first county named after tea characters in the history of China.
Guangyuan is located in the north-south climate transition zone, with obvious stereoscopic climate, abundant sunshine, misty all year round, high soil organic matter content and less industrial "three wastes" pollution, which is the best area for developing A-grade green and organic tea cultivation. Guangyuan tea is rich in nutrition, green in color and green in soup, fragrant and mellow in taste, beautiful in shape and high in quality, durable in soaking, little in pesticide residue pollution and extremely low in heavy metal content. Its nutritional components are: water extract ≧7.45%, amino acid content ≧3.6%, zinc content ≧ 1.55mg/kg, and selenium content ≧1.3mg/kg, especially in tea, which is obviously higher than other producing areas inside and outside the province. Zinc-rich and selenium-rich tea has obvious anti-aging and anti-cancer effects.
