Weifang Technician College is a full-time higher vocational and technical college approved by the Ministry of Labor and the Shandong Provincial Government. Its predecessor was Weifang Senior Technical School. In 2004, it was established by the first technical school, the second technical school, the service technical school and Zhucheng technical school of the former Weifang Labor Bureau. Its school history can be traced back to 1958.

In June 2009, it was transformed into Weifang Technician College with the approval of Shandong Provincial People's Government. It mainly trains technicians, senior technicians, senior workers and intermediate workers who are in short supply in society, and undertakes the task of high-skill training for enterprise employees.

The college has a headquarters, with five branches in Zhucheng, Gaomi, Changyi, Changle and Binhai. The school headquarters is located in the northern foot of the beautiful Floating Smoke Mountain in Weifang City, Shandong Province, the world-famous kite capital. With elegant environment, perfect infrastructure and excellent conditions for running schools, the college is an ideal learning garden.

The planned area is 1 0,000 mu, and the planned total construction area is10.85 million square meters, which will be constructed in two phases.

The first phase of the project has a building area of 6,543,800+200,000 square meters and was completed and put into use in June 2007. The college has eight administrative departments, eight teaching departments and two secondary colleges, and has set up more than 40 majors suitable for Weifang's economic construction, among which CNC technology is a provincial famous specialty, lathe work is a provincial key specialty, and fitter, electrician, marine chemical industry, marketing and cooking technology are municipal famous specialty.

There are 8 training centers including numerical control technology, machining, electrical engineering, marketing, catering service, automobile maintenance and animation production. There are 306 teaching and administrative staff, including 86 with senior titles, 7 provincial chief technicians 1 person, 5 provincial and municipal teaching experts, 8 municipal famous brand teachers and academic leaders, and 9 1 person with double qualifications. There are more than 6000 students in the school.
