Who knows one water, two systems?
Hong Kong tap water "one water, two systems" originated from "turning decay into magic" in the Mainland.

According to a survey released by the Hong Kong Consumer Council on August 6th, 2003, Hong Kong is one of the safest drinking water areas in the world. As the water quality is guaranteed, the Water Supplies Department and the Consumer Council even advise consumers not to install water filters at home. Since then, the quality of drinking water in Hong Kong is still improving. In 2007, the Water Supplies Department of Hong Kong commissioned a survey on the quality of drinking water in buildings, and found that more than 90% of the respondents were satisfied with the quality of drinking water in Hong Kong.

Chen Zhichao, then director of the Hong Kong Water Supplies Department, pointed out: "In fact, the water treatment plant of the Water Supplies Department is as good as other advanced countries." According to Regulation 24 of the Waterworks Regulations of Hong Kong, customers are not allowed to install or use water appliances such as water filters without the permission of the Water Supplies Department. The reason is that improper cleaning of filtration equipment will pollute tap water, so there is almost no market for household filtration equipment commonly used in the Mainland in Hong Kong.

Although Hong Kong has invested heavily in water quality, these efforts have not been passed on to consumers. The tap water consumption of Hong Kong users is every four months 12 cubic meter, which is provided by the Hong Kong government free of charge, and the charges will not start until it exceeds. Moreover, seawater is used to flush toilets, and 30 cubic meters of water can be used for free every four months. So is the sewage treatment fee. There is no charge if the amount of sewage discharged is within the range of the first gear 12 cubic meter.
