One-day trip to Tibet?
Generally speaking, one day is definitely not enough to visit Tibet. In addition, the scenic spots in Tibet are generally far apart and the traffic is not very convenient. So I suggest a one-day trip to Lhasa. Friends who are new to Lhasa and need to adapt to the plateau environment, don't want to be too tired and worry about high rebellion, recommend this relaxed one-day tour route, including meals and accommodation strategies:

Usually arrive in Lhasa one day in advance. Don't arrange activities on the second day of arrival. Go to the hotel, have dinner and go to bed early.

The next day's itinerary:

Morning: Potala Palace

The architecture in Tibet is the first and the largest ancient palace complex in the world. The best places to take pictures are the square and Wang Yaoshan. The Potala Palace was originally built by Songzan Gambo to marry Princess Wencheng, and later became the residence of the Dalai Lama and the ruling center of the integration of politics and religion.

The top floor of Potala Palace is 3780 meters above sea level, with *** 13 floors. No one can count how many rooms there are. Although it is being renovated every year, there is no correct numbering record. There are a large number of historical relics inside, and now the part for tourists to visit is only one-third of the cloth palace.

Lunch: Walk from Potala Palace to the pedestrian street between Jokhang Temple. It's only ten minutes' walk from Potala Palace to Jokhang Temple. On the way, you pass Yutu Road, a bustling pedestrian street with many restaurants. )

Catering recommendation: There is a Jicai food street on Yutu Road, with many well-received restaurants and several chain restaurants. At the same time, there are many hotels around the food street, so it will be particularly convenient to live here. Some restaurants with high scores have to queue up when they arrive late.

Afternoon: Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street.

Jokhang Temple is the place where Tibetan souls and beliefs grow. Go to Jokhang Temple first, and then to Lhasa. Jokhang Temple, a Tibetan Buddhist temple, was built by King Songzan Gampo of Tibet, which blended the architectural styles of Tibet, Tang Dynasty, Nepal and India and became an eternal model of Tibetan religious architecture.

On the road, Tibetans who make pilgrimages to Lhasa can be seen everywhere, and their destination is here. Incense fills the air in front of the temple all day, and there are many people in the temple. Devoted believers recite scriptures in their mouths and are completely immersed in their own world. Feel the power of faith in the burning butter lamp.

Barkhor Street has a famous turning road, which completely retains the traditional style and living style of the ancient city. Tibetans call it the "holy way". Shops along the street sell all kinds of Tibetan costumes and handicrafts, as well as goods from India, Nepal and other places.

Evening: If you have the strength, you can go to see a performance of Princess Wencheng, or watch the night view and music fountain of Potala Palace in Potala Palace Square.

Reservation recommendation: Ctrip/Flying Pig official platform, with a tour guide to explain, especially Jokhang Temple, will come out soon without explanation, and you can't understand anything, but it will be interesting to listen to the tour guide explain the history in detail.

Accommodation recommendation: Hotels between Bugong and Jokhang Temple, there are many choices on Yutu Road, and hotels with oxygen supply help to have a better rest at night. After visiting Bugong in the morning, walk to Jokhang Temple for lunch. There is still time to rest in the hotel after dinner, because Climbing Bugong is really tall and tired.

Special note: both Bugong and Jokhang Temple need to be booked in advance. The tickets I booked on Ctrip are all about a week in advance, so I may not be able to book them in the peak season. You need to make an appointment in advance to visit Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. Among them, the first ticket grab for Potala Palace needs 10 days in advance, and Jokhang Temple needs 1 day in advance.

P.S. I booked a ticket with explanation at Bugong+Jokhang Temple in Ctrip one week in advance. The tour guide spoke very well, which was obviously much better than the tour guides seen by my peers.

Personal experience: wear hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, lotion and lipstick. Very dry. I forgot to bring lipstick this time, and my lips are almost chapped. Oxygen bottles are sold everywhere in the street. You can take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for a high headache.
