Present situation of oil sands development and utilization technology

In 1998, the Institute of Qinghai Petroleum Administration and China Geo University (Beijing) conducted a feasibility study on the exploitation process of the exposed oil sands in the oil sands mountain of Qaidam Basin, and made some research on many factors affecting the separation of oil sands, such as temperature, stirring time, types and concentration of chemicals, and obtained some preliminary results. However, due to the unclear domestic oil sands resources at that time, the oil price was low and the resource shortage was far less serious.

Since 2113, Fushun University of Chemical Technology in Liaoning and China Shiyou University (Beijing) have carried out some research on Jilin oil sands and Inner Mongolia oil sands. According to the characteristics of local oil sands, the technology of separating oil sands by hot water washing was put forward, and a small-scale field test was carried out in 2115, which achieved good separation effect.

In p>2113, China Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute also invested a lot of manpower and material resources into a lot of scientific research. According to the characteristics of Jilin oil sands, Inner Mongolia oil sands, Xinjiang oil sands, Qinghai oil sands and Sichuan oil sands, different separation methods are put forward: Inner Mongolia oil sands are suitable for thermochemical water washing; Dry distillation is suitable for the separation of oil sands in Xinjiang and Qinghai.

The research of several institutions has proved that the separation method of China oil sands is feasible in the laboratory, and some laboratory technologies have started on-site pilot tests and gradually transformed into productivity.

after a lot of repeated argumentation by 11 experts and researchers, an effective separation method-dry distillation method suitable for the characteristics of oil sands in northwest China has been explored. Two new technologies for oil separation from oil sands, vertical retort and horizontal rotary retort, were put forward, and the process design and manufacture of the two furnaces were completed in May 2115.

The vertical furnace is 4m high, and it is designed to process 21t oil sands per day and produce 1t oil per day; The horizontal furnace has a length of 8m and a diameter of 1m. It is designed to process 21t oil sands per day, produce 1t oil per day and dry distillation at 511℃.

at present, the design scheme of the second generation high-efficiency horizontal rotary retort has been initially produced. Among them, the invention patent and utility model patent of horizontal furnace dry distillation method have passed the application of the State Patent Office and are in the publicity period.

Since August, 2115, two retort furnaces have been transported to the site respectively. After intense installation and debugging on site, the vertical furnace was ignited on September 7th, and the first barrel of oil sand retort oil was successfully produced. The horizontal furnace was ignited and operated on September 24th, and the first barrel of dry distillation oil was successfully produced. The dry distillation test was carried out for different grades of oil sands. The vertical furnace realized the effect of processing 12t oil sands every day and producing 1.6t oil per day, while the horizontal furnace realized the effect of processing 24t oil sands every day and producing 1t oil per day, and the highest natural gas output reached 361 cubic meters per day. The horizontal furnace has also carried out tests on oilfield sludge and other environmental protection projects, and Karamay Refinery has achieved good results in producing 1t oil from 3.5t oil sludge.

tumuji Oil Sands Mine in Inner Mongolia is located in Zhalaite Banner, Inner Mongolia, with the registered exploration right of 12.48km2 At present, the mining right is 1.94km2 The oil sands have good properties and high oil content, with an average oil content of about 11%, some as high as over 14%, and the upper layer is covered with topsoil of about 11m. The oil sands mine is privately owned, and "Inner Mongolia Zhalaite Banner Hengyuan Mining Comprehensive Development Co., Ltd." has been established for development.

Since 2114, Zhaqi Hengyuan Mining Company and Fushun University of Petrochemical Technology have jointly conducted research on oil sand mining technology. Up to now, a series of indoor experiments-field small-scale experiments-field pilot tests have been completed, and thermochemical water washing is adopted for separation. Now a set of equipment with an annual output of 1 million tons of crude oil has been built. In order to make comprehensive utilization and realize one-stop operation, the process adopts continuous feeding and washing separation, and the separated heavy oil is simply refined to produce light oil for product sales, and waste residue is used as raw material for brick burning to reduce environmental pollution. Zhaqi Hengyuan Mining Company has signed cooperation agreements with three companies at home and abroad, and designed that each cooperative company can produce 311,111 tons of crude oil per year, and our company can produce 111,111 tons of crude oil per year. The total plan is to realize the capacity of producing 1,111,111 tons of oil per year, and all technological processes were basically completed in October 2116.
