Introduction of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes

The Mogao Grottoes, also known as the "Thousand Buddha Cave", is located on the cliff at the east foot of Mingsha Mountain, 25 kilometers southeast of Dunhuang City, and is one of the three major grottoes art treasures in China. The caves were first carved in the second year before the Qin Dynasty (A.D. 366), and then they were added and repaired.
