According to the identification standards for small and medium-sized enterprises issued by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan Province Province, it refers to enterprises that are legally registered as companies or enterprises and meet the following standards:

2. The annual turnover of agriculture, forestry, fishery, animal husbandry, water and electricity industry, wholesale and retail industry, accommodation and catering industry, transportation, warehousing and communication industry, finance and insurance industry, real estate and leasing industry, professional technology service industry, education service industry, medical and social welfare service industry, culture, sports and leisure service industry and other service industries was less than NT$ 100 million.

In addition, the following number of employees who are frequently employed can be used as the identification standard for SMEs:

1. Manufacturing, construction, mining and earth-rock mining often employ less than 200 employees.

According to the provisions of the Hong Kong government, the so-called small and medium-sized enterprises refer to:

1. Any enterprise engaged in manufacturing and employing less than 100 people in Hong Kong; or

2. Any enterprise with less than 50 employees in non-manufacturing industries (including construction, mining, quarrying, electricity and fuel production, import and export trade, wholesale, retail, catering, hotels, logistics, transportation, warehouses, insurance, real estate, commercial services, community services, social services and personal services). (1) Agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery. Small and medium-sized enterprises with operating income below 20 million yuan.
