Jilin Agricultural Science and Technology College is a provincial public full-time undergraduate college. The school was formerly known as Jilin Provincial Secondary Agricultural School founded by 1907 and Jilin Provincial College founded by 1958. In 2003, with the approval of the Jilin provincial government, the College of Agricultural Technology of Beihua University merged with Jilin Professional College, and in 2004, it was upgraded to Jilin College of Agricultural Science and Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It was the first batch of pilot universities for the reform of the national education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents.
