Understand the China style screen (weaving)

Chinese net weaving is one of our handicrafts. The woven screen is made of different materials, such as plastic, fabric, metal, etc. The material of the outer frame is generally solid wood, with composite rope and plant fiber, which is waterproof and colorfast. Strong and firm, can withstand high temperature washing. Woven net is relatively strong, does not contain any harmful substances, has good toughness and long service life, but lacks many patterns compared with others. But the artistic conception of expression will not be less.

Dimensions of woven screen

How big are the screens we weave? Is there a scope rule? Woven screens are generally used for decoration. In terms of patterns, it is also close to our lives. Ordinary paintings are our plants, or the scenery we see in our lives. Therefore, the Chinese style of our screen is generally not too great. General dimensions are 400 mm to 1000 mm in length and 1500 mm to 2500 mm in height. But if our space is small, we can make it smaller. If our space is large, we can buy bigger ones.

Chinese-style method for self-made woven screen

If we don't want to build a screen from the outside, we can make our own screen at home. Make our life more interesting and enrich our life. Below I will tell you a screening method.

Denim gauze

Materials: gauze, denim, sewing thread, 2 meters long bamboo.

Tools: scissors, thick needles, iron.

Production steps:

1. Cut a rectangular piece of gauze, with two pieces of denim as the vertical part of the baffle and one piece as the upper edge of denim.

2. Fold the gauze in half. Get a screen about 2 meters long. Sew these two layers of gauze together with thick thread. Mark the top edge and hem 2 cm with an iron.

3. framing: mark the position we need to sew with an iron at a distance of 2CM around each cloth strip. Then fold it in half and mark the marks we want to fold in half with an iron. There is also a horizontal end at the top of our cloth strip to mark the position where sewing is needed.

We should make a 5 cm buttonhole on the top and middle of each vertical strip. We used to wear our bamboo as a scaffold.

5. Sew the front faces of three strips of cloth together diagonally. It is also 2CM side. Horizontal is located in the middle of two verticals.

6. Take off our sewing thread, put a vertical piece of cloth on my ass and seal it. Turn the frame again.

7. Tuck both sides of the gauze into the joint of the two-layer frame for about 2CM, then fix it with a pin, and finally sew it roughly. Put bamboo on the top of the frame. Finally hung on our ceiling.

The above is about the China size of our screen and the way we make it. The woven screen is just lighter than our traditional glass screen.
