The whole building complex of Qinglong Ancient Town is like a flying dragon. The whole town is five miles long. It is an ancient architectural complex integrating military, ancient buildings, gardens, temples, tunnels and ancestral halls, and it is also the first important market town for Shanxi merchants on their way in and out of Jinyang City in Ming and Qing Dynasties.
The most admirable thing about Qinglong ancient town now is that it overlooks the whole town from the ancient beacon tower, as well as the bell tower, the stage and those mysterious tunnels. In addition, rivers, ancient wells and other resources constitute the material and cultural landscape of Qinglong ancient town with their patchwork and diverse architectural styles.
2. Hanging village
Everyone has heard of the Hanging Temple in Datong, but not many people know it. There is also a Hanging Temple with beautiful scenery and strange scenery. The houses in the village are all looking up from the bottom of the cliff because of the cliff, which is like a castle in the air and a fairyland on earth.
Visitors have to walk slowly along the steep mountain road if they want to enter the village. Most of the houses have a history of two or three hundred years, and the building materials are mainly stone and wood. Walking on the plank road is like being in mid-air.
3. Greater xie cun
Daxie Village has a clearly recorded history of 1500 years. An old man in the village waved a confident gesture and told the tourists: "This village has a history of 1480 years, which was built during the Northern Wei Dynasty and the same month as Yungang Grottoes." Daxie Village's unique style and "three-dimensional blend" of local architecture have completely preserved the ancient Yuxian tradition and folk customs, and embodied the perfect harmony between man and nature, man and mountain.
