(1) the State Council established a food safety committee. (2) The health administrative department of the State Council undertakes the comprehensive coordination responsibility of food safety, and is responsible for food safety risk assessment, food safety standard formulation, food safety information publication, qualification certification conditions and inspection specifications formulation of food inspection institutions, and organizes the investigation and handling of major food safety accidents. (3) the State Council Quality Supervision, Industry and Commerce Administration and the State Food and Drug Administration respectively supervise and manage food production, food circulation and catering service activities in accordance with the responsibilities stipulated in the Food Safety Law and the State Council. (4) Departments of health administration, agriculture administration, quality supervision, industry and commerce administration and food and drug supervision and administration at or above the county level shall exercise their functions and powers and assume responsibilities according to their respective responsibilities.
