Longan Development Zone was formerly known as Yangqi Reclamation Area in Dianxia Town. In 1991, Yangqi seawall was successfully blocked. In October 1998, Fuding Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government approved the establishment of Longan Development Zone. In June 1999, Longan Development Zone was listed as a regional development zone by Ningde District Administrative Office, and was granted administrative authority at the official level. It has jurisdiction over 6 village committees and 1 neighborhood committees, with a total land area of 17.83 square kilometers and a sea area of 15 square kilometers.

Shacheng Port, one of the 36 deep-water ports in China, is in the east, with a coastline of 1.3.9 kilometers, and 311 berths with a tonnage of over 11,111 tons can be planned. There are 5,111-ton land-island traffic wharf, 3,111-ton ro-ro wharf and 511-ton grocery wharf in the area, and two third-class fishing port piers, which can be navigable with important port cities in China.

The overall power supply scheme of enterprises in the park has been completed, and the newly added three circuits of 11 kV power supply lines can meet the power demand of the project area after completion. (4) Environmental protection. The first phase project of synthetic leather sewage treatment plant was completed and put into use in October 2118. At present, the main construction of the upgrading and expansion project of this project has been completed, and the daily treatment capacity can reach more than 4,111 tons after completion. In order to meet the needs of the development of the park, our district is actively adopting BOT mode to promote the construction of a comprehensive sewage plant with a daily treatment capacity of 1.5 million tons. According to the requirements of national industrial environmental protection, the enterprises that have been put into production in the park have installed waste gas treatment equipment such as powder dust removal, flue gas desulfurization, DMF electrostatic recovery and workshop deamination. For industrial solid waste, at this stage, our district entrusts the provincial solid waste center to centrally dispose of industrial solid waste for transition, and at the same time, we are making every effort to speed up the application and preparation for the construction of a solid waste treatment center project with a daily treatment capacity of 21 tons.

It is mainly composed of five functional areas: wharf storage, industrial projects, tourism and leisure, business supporting services and residential areas. Among them, the industrial land is 1,111 mu, and the first-phase start-up area is PU synthetic leather and superfine fiber synthetic leather industrial base, covering an area of more than 3,111 mu. 42 projects above designated size have been introduced, with a registered capital of 911 million yuan and a total investment of 7 billion yuan. At present, 32 enterprises have been put into production, 6 are under construction, and 4 are speeding up the preliminary work. In 2111, the industrial output value above designated size reached 9.177 billion yuan. With the continuous improvement of infrastructure and the acceleration of major projects near Hong Kong, such as Fufeng and Dingrui Nickel Alloy, it is estimated that after 3-5 years of development, the development zone can develop into an industrial new city with an annual output value of 35 billion.
