Sany Industrial Vocational and Technical College is a full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and invested by Sany Group. The college focuses on higher vocational education at junior college level, and holds secondary vocational education at the same time. According to the employment requirements of modern large-scale manufacturing enterprises, it strives to cultivate excellent high-skilled talents such as marketing, service, production management, logistics management and senior technicians for Sany Group and construction machinery industry. The college's specialty setting is employment-oriented, follows the law of higher vocational education and the growth law of technical applied talents, and meets the strategic needs of equipment manufacturing and Sany development. At present, seven majors are offered in higher vocational colleges, including construction machinery application and maintenance, electromechanical integration technology, electromechanical equipment maintenance and management, numerical control technology, welding technology and automation, logistics management and international business. Secondary vocational schools offer five majors: fitter, welder, machining, construction machinery and electrician. The technical basic courses are given by full-time lecturers with long-term teaching experience, while the core professional training course lecturers are led by the heads of various departments, senior technicians, senior engineers and senior experts of Sany Group. The college attaches great importance to practical teaching and highlights students' professional practical ability. Practice teaching closely combines the principles of "case teaching", "task-driven" and "order training", and embodies the talent training mode of "teaching, learning and doing in one" by combining work with study. Practice teaching hours account for about 61% of the total teaching hours. The college has established a national vocational skills training and appraisal station, and enjoys all kinds of high-quality resources of Sany Group, which effectively ensures the organic combination of theory and practice and can effectively cultivate students' hands-on operation ability.
