5 Technical Requirements

5.2 Materials

5.2.1 The specifications and quality of raw materials must meet the design requirements and the provisions of existing relevant national standards and norms.

5.2.2 Raw materials for making railings and handrails shall have factory quality certificates or test reports, and shall be accepted in batches when entering the site. Materials without ex-factory qualification certificates must be sampled for physical and chemical performance tests according to relevant standards, and can be used only after they are qualified. Unqualified materials are strictly prohibited.

5.3 Structural performance

5.3.1 After the installation of railings, handrails and stairs, the structural bearing capacity should be 1.5Kn/m with the horizontal load specified by GBJ9, and the maximum allowable deflection value should not exceed h/111(h is the height of handrails).

5.4 Appearance quality

. The connection between metal railings and metal, plastic or hard wood handrails shall meet the design requirements and the provisions of current relevant standards and specifications.

5.4.2 The surface of the product should be smooth, and there should be no appearance defects such as burrs, welding slag and obvious hammer marks.

5.4.4 The straight parts of railings and handrails should be straightened, and the curved parts should be kept straight. Wooden handrails should be painted for corrosion protection. The paint layer should be uniform and firm, and there should be no obvious defects such as paint piling and leakage.
