Taiwan Province singer Lan Xinmei, who is known as "Egg Girl", is a famous stage freak. Since her debut for 26 years, she has either led the audience to hit the rocks with eggs or made everyone laugh with other people's mouths. Lan Xinmei likes collecting antique furniture very much, and her collection of antiques has reached the level of a museum. In 1991, she opened KiKi, a Jiangsu and Zhejiang restaurant, in the alley in the East District of Taipei, and the business was excellent. In 1999, she co-opened another branch with Tao Jingying, which can be regarded as a tycoon in the catering industry.
Born in Taipei, Yunlin County, graduated from Sacred Heart Girls' High School. Lan Xinmei's uncle is Roger Lan, one of the "three drum kings in Taiwan Province". He used to be a jazz drummer in the big band of Taiwan Television and the director of the exclusive band of Gao Lingfeng. Kong Qiang and other artists were his disciples. Lan Xinmei likes dogs and hippos. She has a LADY adopted from a stray dog at home. Because she likes hippos, fans specially set up a song club "Hippo Family" for her.
Lan Xinmei has many adopted children in the entertainment industry, such as Jiro Wang, Danson Tang, Xie Hexian, Guo Yanjun, Guo Yanfu, Gigi Lin, Huang Xiaorou, Aben and Zhang Benyu.
