Exhibition Center IntroductionShanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) is a large exhibition center in Shanghai, located in Pudong Longyang Road 2345, November 4, 1999 for the cornerstone, November 2, 2001 officially opened. The Shanghai New International Expo Center is developed in cooperation with a number of domestic and foreign organizations.

Venue layoutThe first phase of the expo center includes the south entrance, exhibition halls 1 to 4 on the west side, and a subway station connection on the south side. The investment for the first phase was US$99 million. There are now 9 exhibition halls, all of which are designed without columns,
each hall is 70 by 185 meters in size, with a total area of 103,500 square meters in all halls*** and 100,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition space. The Centre is still undergoing an expansion project, which is expected to be completed in 2010, and will feature 18 exhibition halls, expanding the indoor exhibition area to 200,000 square meters and the outdoor exhibition area to 130,000 square meters. The facilities of the Expo Center include exhibition halls, a conference center, a business center, a hotel, a bank, postal and telecommunication services, transportation services, and restaurants.
Domestic and foreign exhibitors can organize various types of exhibitions here. Each exhibition hall in Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) is 70m×185m in size, with an area of 11,547 square meters, and the exhibition halls are all of one-story column-free structure. By 2013, SNIEC will have 11 column-free exhibition halls covering an area of 126,500 square meters, and 100,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition area.
The full expansion of SNIEC is scheduled to be completed in 2010, when the indoor area will reach 200,000 square meters and the outdoor area 130,000 square meters. When fully completed, it will have 17 exhibition halls, three entrance halls and a tower, and according to the market demand, a tower will also be constructed, including a hotel, offices and a conference center. 2013 will be the first phase of the project, with a total investment of 99 million US dollars,*** four exhibition halls and an entrance hall, with an exhibition area of 45,000 square meters indoors and 20,000 square meters outdoors, with a floor loading capacity of 30kN/m2 and a static air height of 11 to 20 meters. The floor loading is 30kN/square meter, the static height is 11-17 meters, and each exhibition hall is equipped with 8 doors with the size of 5.3 meters x 4.1 meters. The showrooms are equipped with flexibility dividers, truck entrances, floor unloading, equipment, offices, kiosks and cafeterias, and crate storage.
LocationThe Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) is located in the Pudong Development Zone of Shanghai, adjacent to Century Park.SNIEC is 35 kilometers east of Pudong International Airport and 32 kilometers west of Hongqiao International Airport. China's first Maglev train and Metro Line 2 converge near the center, and the transportation network woven with multiple bus lines brings the center closer to all corners of the city.
