Most universities and colleges here have three semesters a year, so two semesters take eight months.
Where do you usually work?
Without an off-campus work visa, we are generally called black workers or cash workers. Generally, Chinese restaurants and supermarkets have more jobs, such as waiters, chefs or cashiers.
Is a month's salary enough for living expenses?
Depending on which province you go to, the minimum wage in each province is different. For example, the minimum wage in Vancouver is 8, so the salary for going to work with a work card is generally around 8- 10. If you go to Ottawa, their current minimum wage is 9. It became 10 in March. 25 years old. Then you have a work card, and the salary is generally 10. About 25- 12, so look at the local minimum wage. If you are an illegal worker, your salary is generally less than the provincial minimum wage 1-2.
Living expenses are still quite difficult. Generally, the monthly living expenses are around 800- 1000 (depending on the city). If you work, you have to study. 20 hours a week is 10. It's almost an hour, 800 a month. But it's hard to guarantee that you can do it for 20 hours. After all, the main manager is still studying. Especially in the third and fourth years, it is very difficult to study and work. Moreover, if you fail a course because you are working, you have to retake the exam (the cost of a course is around 1300- 1800), and those two months are basically wasted.
