In order to deepen students' understanding of the canteen kitchen and dispel students' concerns about the food hygiene in the canteen, the Rights and Interests Department of the Student Union of our school jointly held an "Open Kitchen Day" with the catering center on June 12, which won unanimous praise from students and achieved good results.
On the morning of the activity, around 10, the students who signed up for the activity rushed to the front of Hehe Building, and Mr. Jia from the catering center warmly received everyone. In the conference office of the dining center, Mr. Jia kindly asked everyone what they were dissatisfied with the food in the canteen and their suggestions. At first, the students were a little stiff, and then they spoke slowly. Some students suggested adding punch cards to take-out food in Wu Xue canteen. Teacher Jia said that the catering center is trying to solve this problem, and the school has not responded. Some students complained that there were too few dishes during the holidays. Teacher Jia said that students don't concentrate on eating during holidays, so it is impossible to take out all the meals in the canteen in a certain period of time, so I hope students can understand the problem of few styles. In addition, other students talked about the quality of porridge and noodles in the canteen. Teacher Jia asked people to make detailed records.
Subsequently, the students put on plain white coats and disposable paper hats according to the teacher's requirements, and visited the Muslim canteen, the basement of Xinle Group, the kitchen on the second floor and the Wu Xue canteen.
When the manager of Xinle Qun showed the students around the kitchen, he proudly told them that Xinle Qun used a fully automatic rice steamer for cooking, with more than 100,000 yuan, which was only available in Beijing universities except Tsinghua Peking University. She also showed them around the vegetable cutter, peeler and dishwasher. When the students saw these advanced equipment, they couldn't help exclaiming. The manager also told them that there are strict requirements for the arrangement of things in the canteen. Semi-finished products are placed in the freezer of semi-finished products, covered with plastic wrap, and will never be mixed with raw food. The eggs bought should also be washed first, and the sink for washing eggs should be separated from the sink for washing other foods.
Seeing the clean countertops, advanced equipment, reasonable division of labor and strictly required items in the kitchen, and hearing the canteen manager's detailed introduction to the canteen system and facilities, the students were relieved of the hygienic status of the school canteen.
Finally, Teacher Jia led the students to have a sumptuous lunch in the attic. At the meeting, the teacher and manager Wu Xue told everyone that they could directly report any questions and suggestions to the manager, or directly complain to the catering center, or express their opinions on Danzi.com, and they would be happy to accept them. After all, they also hope to run the canteen well and serve the students.
"This activity has opened my eyes. I didn't expect our school canteen to be so clean and advanced, "said a classmate who participated in the activity." Other students also said that if such activities are held again in the future, students must sign up enthusiastically.
