The following are some problems that will happen repeatedly when a new cylinder is set up. Although I am not an expert, I will sort out what I know and provide you with a good reference for those who want to set up a cylinder but don't know where to start. If you have any questions and problems, you are welcome to reply and discuss.
1. Equipment required for fish farming:
The size of the tank and the flow rate of the filter are important factors to determine whether the fish tank is clean. If the flow rate of the filter is too small, the fish tank will get dirty quickly, and if the water flow is too strong, the fish who are not good at swimming will be damaged or exhausted. Generally speaking, a filter of at least 61(L/h) is used for an eight-inch cylinder, and it is better to use a filter of 181(L/h)~241(L/h) if it is larger than a foot cylinder.
Fish tanks need to be heated, but there is a wrong idea that fish don't die of cold because the temperature is too low. Most families put fish tanks at home, and the temperature at home will not be lower than 12 degrees, which will not kill most fish. The real reason for heating is the changeable climate in Taiwan Province. Take the temperature in March and April as an example, the temperature difference between day and night can be as high as 11~12 degrees. Such drastic temperature difference changes will cause fish to get sick and die. Therefore, heating is needed to slow down this temperature change.
basically, as long as there are suitable tanks and filters, you can raise fish. If you have to lose one of them, remove the heater, but be careful in spring and autumn. Filters are necessary, because there are very few fish and fish that can be raised in stagnant water, and their relative restrictions will be very strict. Other things, there are many (of course, straw jars need lights). But too much doesn't mean it's useless. Everything has its function in the vat, and it's also a very important link in the ecological balance. So, let's explain the procedure of the straw vat:
1. Pre-procedure
Sand washing: the sand is dirty, and there are tiny dust inside. If you don't wash it, you will get foggy.
Boil the sinking wood: You should boil the sinking wood, boil the yellow inside, and throw it directly without boiling it. The water will be yellow and it will last for a long time.
2. During the period, the program omits
the water discharge and landscaping during the period is a technical problem, which does not affect the stability of the tank, but just looks good, so we will not discuss it. If there is any problem, we will bring it up again.
3. After
was finished, the nightmare really began, because some people began to die, and no one was spared. Then the water plants grew quickly and looked like full of green, but after a few weeks, the algae came out with them. Why did they drop? It will be explained in the next chapter (taking a one-foot cylinder as an example):
2. Procedures for setting the cylinder:
[ 1 days for completion ]
The newly completed cylinder is clean because there is nothing in it. At this time, if you use tap water, please leave it for two days, and do the aeration work by the way. Don't add your aquatic plant nutrients, black water, water stability and so on. The reason will be explained later. Nitrifying bacteria should be added in half according to the dose first.
[ 2 days after completion ]
The water is stable, and the chlorine in the water has completely volatilized, so it is ready to release the living body. First, release a mouse or 5-11 black-shelled shrimps, and do not release fish. If the mouse dies, fish it up and aerate it for another two days. If one or two black-shelled shrimps die, don't put it out. If all black-shelled shrimps die, fish it up and aerate it for another two days.
[ It takes 4-7 days to complete ]
Change the water by 1/3, add nothing to the newly added water, and observe the situation of mice and shrimps. If they don't die the next day, they can prepare to release fish. According to personal endurance, they can release fish until they can't help it.
[ Completed in 14 days ]
Assuming that you are really good enough to hold out until 14 days without releasing fish, you can get ready to release fish ... hehe. Putting fish is also a university.
3. Fish suitable for haystacks:
The fish raised by everyone, such as lampfish, ball fish, immortals, peacocks, mice, etc., are mostly suitable for acidic water quality except peacocks. Straw tanks are also acidic, so the fish sold in general aquariums are suitable for raising in straw tanks, as long as we pay attention to whether they attack each other. As for peacocks, are they suitable? Peacock fish is so tolerant, as long as the pH value does not fluctuate excessively, there is no problem. Excessive fluctuation will cause the tail to dissolve or rot. Therefore, when buying a new peacock, it is very important to adapt the water, not just to adapt the temperature. If the tank is a grass tank dominated by peacock, you can add 1~2 coral stones (coral stones) to the water, which can make the water alkaline.
4. How to use nutrients, black water, water stability and nitrifying bacteria
At the beginning of setting the tank, nitrifying bacteria were added to the fish tank without any chemicals, because nitrifying bacteria were allowed to multiply and grow.
At this time, adding aquatic plant nutrients would lead to excellent oxidation of water quality and a large number of algae growth, so halving the dosage is a practice for those who don't know the brand, and it is better to use the drugs for the first time and don't know the effect. After 15~31 days, when the trace elements in the water are almost consumed (judging by the growth speed and color of aquatic plants), 1/3 ~ 1/4 dosage of aquatic plant nutrient can be added when changing 1/3 water every week. If the algae in the tank grow too fast, the dosage can be reduced. Water stability and black water are diluted in tap water and then aerated for 1~2 days, and then added to the fish tank. They are not directly poured into the fish tank, but directly added to the fish tank will also cause pH shock and make the fish urgent, especially the inferior water stability.
5. A complete ecosystem
A fish tank is definitely not enough to put water and fish together. When a fish tank with a complete ecosystem is formed, there is no need to change water at all, and a large fish tank can even be completely fed without lighting, but it is also very troublesome to form and maintain stability of this ecosystem. The previous steps are to make each step move forward in the correct order and avoid unnecessary casualties. Beginners' first fish tank is usually carried out in the following procedures:
setting a tank → releasing fish → dead fish → repeating the process of releasing fish and dead fish → algae and bacteria breeding → emptying the tank
This truth is well known, but it is often overlooked because the bacteria can't be seen. During this period, the time for repeatedly releasing dead fish is the time for cultivating nitrifying bacteria mentioned above from 1 to 14 days. At this time, the excrement accumulated by fish will accumulate at the bottom of the tank because there is no nitrifying bacteria to decompose, and the rest bacteria and nitrates will be produced in large quantities. After about 31 days, even after the nitrifying bacteria are cultivated, the water quality has been optimally oxidized, and a large number of algae began to breed. Besides nitrifying bacteria, there are other bacteria in the water. Owners usually take a lot of steps to change water. In the process of changing water, they add some unnecessary chemicals, which will lead to pH fluctuation and unstable water quality, and repeat the steps of releasing dead fish, which will eventually lead to ecological collapse (about 3~5 months), of course, only the tank will be turned over. The normal procedure should be:
setting a tank → cultivating nitrifying bacteria → releasing fish → generating algae → stabilizing
Since it is a correct procedure, why is algae generated? I think it is normal for a stable tank to have algae, and the waste produced in the tank is poop, carbon dioxide and so on. We won't discuss the detailed chemical formula, because I'm too lazy to look it up, but only explain the procedure:
Fish produces poop (big) → Shrimp cuts up the poop like sausage → Nitrobacterium decomposes the broken poop → The poop is absorbed by aquatic plants after decomposition, and the aquatic plants grow → More nutrients are absorbed by algae, and algae grow
So the representative meaning of algae growth is that there are already excess nutrients in the water to make algae grow. As for the control of algae quantity, As for aquatic plant nutrients, it can also be judged according to this, but liquid fertilizer and trace elements are different. If there are too many algae, it seems that liquid fertilizer can not be added, but trace elements still need to be added. The detailed reasons may need to be greatly explained by those who have studied aquatic plant tanks.
6. Replace a complete ecosystem
According to the above, once the quantity of fish, aquatic plants and shrimps is fixed, it can't be changed, so as not to destroy the stability. How boring it is! In fact, when you understand the whole cycle, no matter what changes you make, it will not change the ecological balance. Like to be lively and buy more fish, then shorten the water change time and strengthen the flow of the filter; If you are busy at work and don't have time to change water, just put a fish, and it's also good to create an atmosphere of Qian Shan, where there is no fixed method and formula. Fish farming is fun, don't let the fish tank make you feel overwhelmed, it's not fun.
