Regarding the further improvement of after-school services, Lv Yugang, director of the Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education, introduced the main tasks of after-school services, which are summarized in four aspects and 16 words, i.e., "comprehensive coverage, ensure time, improve quality and strengthen the guarantee".

One is comprehensive coverage: schools around the world to start from the actual, "a school a case" to develop and improve the after-school service specific implementation plan, to ensure that after the start of the fall of this year to achieve full coverage of compulsory education schools, and strive to achieve full coverage of students in need.

The second is to ensure time: the implementation of after-school service "5 + 2" model, that is, the school five days a week to carry out after-school service, at least two hours a day, the end of the time with the local normal time off work to converge.

The parents of students who still have difficulty picking up their children should be provided with extended care services. Third, to improve the quality: on the one hand, students should be guided to complete their homework, students with learning difficulties in remedial tutoring and answer questions, for students who have the ability to learn to expand the learning space;

On the other hand, should be carried out colorful arts and crafts, sports, labor, reading, interest groups and clubs, maximum efforts to meet the different needs of students. However, after-school service time shall not be utilized to teach new lessons.

The fourth is to strengthen the guarantee: the education administration should work with the relevant departments to seriously implement the "General Office of the State Council on regulating the development of off-campus training institutions," the provisions of the requirements, improve the after-school service funding to ensure that the method of clear relevant standards, to take the financial subsidies, service charges or fees and other ways to raise funds.

2.: The funding for after-school services is mainly used to subsidize teachers and related personnel involved in after-school services. The after-school service is generally undertaken by the teachers of the school, but can also employ retired teachers, qualified social professionals or volunteers to participate. At the same time, make full use of social resources such as the Children's Palace and Youth Activity Center.
