There used to be 17 gates in Chongqing, which were nine open and eight closed, and the gates were connected by city walls to form the original Chongqing city, namely Yuzhong District. Chaotianmen, as the most representative of the seventeen gates, was the gateway to welcome officials and receive saints in ancient times, and later became a freight terminal.
Today's Chaotianmen is far less lively than before, but its position in the eyes of Chongqing people has not wavered at all. Chaotianmen Square, which has a long history, is still open, and there is a brand-new Raffles behind it. Chongqing, where the old and the new alternate, also makes Sean Xiao sigh: This is not Chaotianmen Square in my childhood memory at all.
Transportation: Chongqing Metro 1 line Chaotianmen Station, and buses 503, 17 1, 87 1 and 382 can all reach it.
Second stop: Yangtze River cableway
Cross Raffles from Chaotianmen, go straight, pass the small cross, and you can reach Xinhua Road Yangtze River Cableway North Station. As the most distinctive means of transportation in Chongqing, the Yangtze River cableway has a history of 33 years since it was put into use at 1987.
Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway runs between Yuzhong District and Nan 'an District of Chongqing, across the Yangtze River, and is known as the "first air corridor of the Yangtze River". When I came to Chongqing, I missed a thrilling experience if I hadn't been on the Yangtze River cableway.
Mode of transportation: Chongqing Metro 1 and Little Cross Station of Line 6 can be reached by bus 87 1, 476, 462 and 466.
Third stop: Chongqing Industrial Museum
Chongqing Industrial Museum, located in dadukou district, Chongqing, was established on the former site of Chongqing Iron and Steel Plant and officially opened on 20 19. The museum consists of three parts: the main exhibition hall, the steel soul museum and the industrial ruins park, which show the past and future of Chongqing's industry respectively, and has the function of leisure and entertainment.
In the whole museum, the most impressive thing is the horse-powered machine in the park, which was made by David brothers and has a history of 100 years. The old plane of Chongqing Three Gorges General Aviation is also a well-deserved photo punching point.
Mode of transportation: bus line 1207 is accessible.
Fourth stop: Huangjueping Graffiti Street &; Communications tea house
Huangjueping Graffiti Street is the largest graffiti art group in the world at present. The whole graffiti project began to spread from sichuan fine arts institute Huangjueping Campus. Along Huangjueping Street, the shops and residential buildings along the street are brand-new and full of artistic sense.
At the same time, there is also a flow teahouse in Huangjueping Graffiti Street. Entering from a gate on the side of the road and passing through the narrow aisle, the brick-wood structure in front of you suddenly becomes clear. History has settled down here, birdcages, wooden tables, covered cups of tea ... In this new era of rapid development, the traffic teahouse still stays in the past, which is very retro.
Mode of transportation: Bus lines 233, 47 1, 403, 4 16 can all be reached.
Fifth stop: Ge Jun Bookstore.
Ge Jun Bookstore is also located in Huangjueping area, belonging to the Fourth Village of Railway, near Jialing River. Passing the abandoned old residential building to be demolished, when this abandoned railway appears in front of you, then you are only one step away from Ge Jun Bookstore.
The railway passes in front of Ge Jun Bookstore, covered with various flowers and plants, forming a wild garden. It took Ge Jun two years to build this library, and now it is very perfect, with many old objects from Chongqing, where you can drink tea, read books, chat, watch movies and enjoy it very leisurely.
Transportation: It takes about 12 minutes to walk from Huangjueping graffiti street, or you can get off at Chongqing South Railway Station by train and walk about 13 minutes.
